I am on the hunt for a MagSafe case for my iPhone 12 as I recently got a MagSafe Battery Pack and my current case is not compatible. I am currently looking at the Spigen Mag Armor, the Mous Limitless 4.0. I don't mind buying the Mous, however $80 for a case for a phone that I plan to keep for only 2 more years seems excessive. I am open to any and all suggestions.
The idea is that I want a case for my iPhone 12 that will attach well to my wireless charging MagSafe car mount.
I've found the following contenders and I wanted to see if anyone has had any good experiences with them when used with a car mount.

There's so many more options out there now since iPhone 12 came out and I finally want to use MagSafe!!

Hey guys,
So I just ordered an iPhone 12 pro after only having androids for the past 8 years. My phone will be here in two weeks so I'd like to get a good case asap to protect it. I've seen that the the Otterbox cases won't be shipped until late November, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for best cases available right now? Thanks in advance!
I bought two casetify cases for my iPhone 13 and the sides are coming off after using them less than a year
I've had the Mous limitless 4.0 however that thing handles like a wet bar of soap and then I switched to the brand grip and not to mince words the magnet strength on it sucks. It's just weak. Right now I'm eyeing cases from moment particular there thin cases. My preference if a think case with some sort of protection. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.
I feel like I got screwed with my iPhone 12 Pro case-wise since it was the first iPhone to have MagSafe, and it took a long time for third party MagSafe cases to become available. By the time the iPhone 13 came out, MagSafe cases were only being made for the iPhone 13.
So now, the only legit MagSafe options for the iPhone 12/Pro are pretty much Apple or OtterBox. I've tried them all and none of them are great. I'm only interested in cases that are about the size/thickness of Apple's silicone and leather cases. Below is a list of my issues with the ones that I've tried.
If anyone knows of any underrated iPhone 12/Pro cases with (real) MagSafe, please share! Otherwise, I actually like Apple's clear MagSafe case, it's just too slippery and I need to somehow make it less slippery. Any ideas for this would be appreciated as well!
~~~ Experienced Cases List ~~~
Apple Silicone Case: Excellent at first, but after about 4 weeks, gets too rubbery/sticky
Apple Leather Case: Excellent at first, but after about 4 weeks, gets too sticky (even after cleaning)
Apple Clear Case: Decent, but way too slippery.
OtterBox Aneu w/ MagSafe: Pretty good, this has been the best one in most categories. It's just a bit too thick, and the power button cover is too squishy (instead of clicky).
Spigen Mag Armor compatible w/ MagSafe: Didn't try this, but I heard that the MagSafe is not magnetic enough. I need it to be legit enough to stay on my Belkin MagSafe car mount. Let me know if this is still worth a try.
Nomad Modern Leather Case: I'm curious about this one, I'm not sure it's worth the price. Let me know if you think otherwise.
Suggestion please !
I'm currently using Spigen's Liquid Air Matte Black case for the iPhone 12. MagSafe works fine through the case, however it's pretty weak (which makes sense given the case doesn't have MagSafe built into it).
Wondering if anyone found a case similar to Spigen Liquid Air for the iPhone 12 that's black in color, isn't made of silicone (because it's annoying to use imo, TPU seems fine and it's what the Liquid Air case is made of), and relatively the same thin-ness as the Spigen Liquid Air case, but just adds MagSafe support to the case.
Basically as close as you can get to the Spigen Liquid Air Matte Black Case for the iPhone 12 but with MagSafe. I came across the Mag Armor, except I don't really like the rounded edge design. Much prefer the boxy design.
I did come across Moment cases for like $25 and seems like exactly what I'm looking for, however they don't ship to Whole Foods locations for pickup so is a mild inconvenience.
Hello everyone, i'm sure this question is asked a lot and ive done some research but I can't quite narrow down what meets my criteria. I currently own an iPhone 12 Pro Max and use an Otterbox Defender case which I love but, it isn't magsafe compatible. I was looking at getting the new Belkin 3-in-1 charging pad as well as some car accessories that utilize magsafe. I would like a Magsafe case with decent protective capabilities, like the otterbox, if possible but not an ugly clear case as i've seen recommended in the past. I owned the first Mous case for the pro max and it was extremely slippery and hard to grip so unless 4.0 fixed that, im not sure if thats for me.
thanks in advance,
Kris
My wireless charger is on its last leg so I need a new charger. I’m tempted to go with a MagSafe system. I have a habit of going back and forth between IOS and Android.
How are the 3rd party case options? Are the magnets strong enough to hold the phone on a stand? I’m not willing to pay the $50-$60 per case that Apple wants. It’s just too much especially when I move between operating systems on a yearly basis.
Trying to find strongest MagSafe case for iPhone 12 Pro Max
As MagSafe has progressed iPhone 14 cases for example have increased the magnetic attraction /retention strength with the embedded magnets. I’m just curious if anyone knows the strongest MagSafe embedded case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max… I’m handing down the phone but need a better MagSafe case for its new user. The oem Apple one is terrible compared to the other MagSafe cases I’ve used.
Just curious if anyone knows of one or one jumps to mind.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have seen these kinds of cases on Amazon. They look really cool. Does anyone know which one would be the best case? One that you can easily take on and off.
Hey All! Need some advice picking out a case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. My priorities are:
-
Very strong MagSafe magnet. I have a MagSafe popsocket to use with it, and would like to feel confident it's not going anywhere while I'm using it.
-
Great protection. Good screen lip, nice corner protection, etc. I have dropped phones in the past (never broken one thankfully) so would like some piece of mind on the protection. I don't mind it being a bit bulky for extra protection.
-
Not a chore to take on and off. I was looking at the Otterbox Pro XT and it seems like a case not designed to be taken on and off regularly. I'd like one that's pretty easy to take off, as I'll be using a backbone controller with my phone regularly.
Any advice would be great! Thanks!
Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag!! It’s a clear case with pretty good protection for what it is. But they also have other MagSafe cases and they are very inexpensive. On Amazon.
Mous Limitless 4.0 or Smartish Gripmunk. Using the Mous right now, but the Gripmunk is also very good.
Hi,i usually use spigen cases but never had a MagSafe case so that’s why im after some recommendations
I’ve used the Spigen Liquid Air Armor case for a good while now but unfortunately it does not work with the magsafe charger I got recently. I purchased the Spigen Mag Armor (MagFit) but it’s terribly slippery. The liquids are had great grip and I could scroll one handed with ease. What are some good options with magsafe, slim, and good grip? Looking at black and/or leather options. Some I’ve been eyeing..
Dbrand grip case
Caudabe sheath
Nomad modern leather
Moment case
Thoughts? Suggestions??
Here’s my take. I love these with the translucent back, magsafe compatibility and thick frame. It’s the balance between versatility, looks and protection. Out of all of the cases I’ve tried, it’s my favorite
I also like the “military-grade” phone cases (2nd picture). These turn your phone into adamantium, but tend to be bulky.
Transparent phone cases tend to yellow, so I don’t like them at all
What are your thoughts on this topic?
I was thinking about getting the clear MagSafe case for my 12 pro since I’m also planning on getting the MagSafe charger, but after further inspection of the pictures I see online for the clear case, I’m not sure if I want it anymore. What case is everyone getting? Also any suggestions for a screen protector?
