Any one know what the best replacement screen is for the iPhone 6? I replaced mine already using the iCracked kit but after about a month the glass strangely started peeling up and away from the mount. It's weird, assuming cheap glue or something.
Most reviews on Amazon say the same thing about other kits. Does any one know of a 'hidden gem?' Alternatively, is it possible to have Apple replace your screen if you already did it once yourself?
I just got mine replaced at Apple for $117. The cheapest place I've seen around me had replacement and installation for 150.
I'm sure you're looking for a DIY kit, but considering you already spent money and it didn't work out for you. Maybe consider going to Apple to get a legit screen put in.
You may want to check icracked's warranty info. Take a picture and contact them by email or on their site and see if they'll replace it. The glass definitely shouldn't be doing that.
Apple usually won't help you after a non-Apple repair. If you still have your original broken screen you could put that on and hope they don't notice. They probably will. Whether they say anything may depend on the rep you get and whether it's easy to tell (usually is with an amateur DIY).
Buying iphone screens on Amazon and ebay is a crapshoot. There are quality issues even with "good" suppliers, unfortunately, but you see more of it with Amazon and ebay.
Beeing a LCD I guess the aftermarket ones are not to be considered all valid, mainly for fragility and brightness levels, and maybe also colors spectrum.. But I wonder if a 20€ display is really that different from a 30€ one.
