Building the best set of kitchen tools on Amazon (Can you help me?)
Honestly, I rarely (to the point where I want to say never, but that seems too concrete) buy sets. I buy the pieces I need as I’m looking for them. I know you’re trying to address the issue by asking here, but sets so often have pieces I don’t need or are lacking pieces I want. And that is going to vary for everyone. Also, for some of these items, people have very specific tastes for shape. The potato masher I like is very different from the one my stepdad likes. Having multiple pieces raises the likelihood that one or more of those pieces will go unused or be discarded. Big sets are really mostly useful for people who are just starting out or who are having to restock their entire kitchen. And a lot of cooks won’t move entirely to another brand without being able to try one or two pieces on their own first.
TL;DR - I like the idea, but keep the sets small with a wider variety of combos, sell pieces individually, or have some combination of those options and I’d be more likely to consider purchasing something. (All contingent on quality, of course.)

I'm wanting to get my dad a gift for his birthday but am unsure if some of the stuff on Amazon is actually good quality and worth buying
I usually avoid amazon, but they had the best price on a book I want/need. I opted for the 30 days free of amazon prime, so I have free shipping, and all the rest of the crap that goes with prime.
So, I'd love to know what your favorite kitchen finds have been on amazon! So far I've ordered a bench scraper.
