I was hoping someone could give me an honest recommendations for a DECENT knife set on Amazon. My budget is about $100-$150 dollars. Would optimally include a few steak knives, a large multi-purpose chef's knife, a bread knife, and a paring knife.
***Disclaimer: PLEASE do NOT just say "don't buy a knife set." That's not helpful. That's all I see on Reddit. I get it, but listen. I WANT a knife set. I LIKE knife sets. I'm a casual cook on a budget. I own a knife sharpener so I don't need any fancy Japanese steel chef knives - I really just want to slightly upgrade from my Amazon no-name brand knife set that's actually served me well for 3 years. End rant.

Buy another Amazon set if yours has served you well. Learning to sharpen your knives is more valuable than paying more for a set you're just gonna dull.

This Mercer set is an excellent buy on well-made knives. So is this Victorinox set In either case you'd have to buy steak knives separately, but there's plenty left in your budget for that.
