I feel the desktop background I choose changes my mind's attitude while studying. I was wondering if there is a specific color that stimulates the hippocampus/amygdala vs another that stimulates the frontal cortex. Or if there is one color in general that has shown to aid learning more than others.
I feel red, mustard yellow and navy blue are the best for me to focus but I can't really tell which is best.
If a color is helpful do you think one of those colored light bulbs for my study room will help more to set my mind to a focused study state?
Edit: I used a bright red background while studying for around 3 years during my bachelor's degree I occasionally switched it for a while but then went back to it as I found it made me focused, but maybe it was placebo and it only makes me be more awake. I switched to a dark gray background that I liked and today 2 years later, after having trouble studying for almost a year I remembered the red background, started experimenting again and came here to ask since I have always wondered about this.
