honestly the generic stuff like "project management foundations" and basic excel / data analysis are the safest bets, low stress and actually useful in admin and coord roles. do an hour a day max or you’ll burn out. certs don’t magic doors open though. finding real work is still stupid hard right now Answer from Old_Cry1308 on reddit.com

trying to figure out the best linkedin learning course this season, anything worth taking?

What LinkedIn Learning course has been most beneficial to you? (Process Development)
I think your time would better be spent either in the lab or talking to coworkers. Ask questions about different parts of the process to other SMEs, ask to shadow experiments, strike up a convo with someone and ask them about their work— people love to talk about things they are experts in. Stuff like that will be worth way more than taking some LinkedIn learning course about leadership.. sorry I think all those online courses on soft skills are mostly fluff. But the enthusiasm you’re showing to learn is good! More on reddit.com

I just got LinkedIn Learning, what courses do you recommend I take on Data Science?
LinkedIn's courses are not worth that. They are useful to learn basic stuff about networking, marketing and your skill etc. But don't rely on it too much! This is my Personal opinion More on reddit.com

How good are the Linkedin Learning Paths?
I haven't done the path, just individual courses, but it looks like paths just consist of multiple courses. LinkedIn Learning is good to get some theoretical knowledge, but it doesn't encourage you to actually open the software and try analyzing data. I watched it more like a TV show 😅 you just need to watch the videos and answer a few questions during the quiz. You're going to have a good overview of the necessary skills, but you won't build those skills unless you actually open Tableu/Power BI or coding environment. More on reddit.com

r/careerguidance on Reddit: trying to figure out the best linkedin learning course this season, anything worth taking?
December 12, 2025 -

so im kinda trying to get my life together lately. after the holiday rush things slowed down at work, so i thought maybe it’s the right moment to start learning something new. i keep seeing the best linkedin learning course pop up in recommendations but i honestly have no idea where to start. i only used linkedin for job hunting before, never for the lessons.

my background is kinda mixed. i do admin work, some light creative stuff and a bit of project coordination, but nothing super advanced. i dont wanna jump into a course that ends up too technical or something that feels like a chore. i really want something that actually helps but doesn’t drain me mentally.

has anyone here taken any linkedin learning courses recently? which ones felt practical and not crazy overwhelming? did you guys follow a strict schedule or just study whenever you felt like it? im thinking of doing like an hour a day but not sure if thats enough.

also, there are so many topics like communication, project management, data basics, design, leadership and i’m lowkey scared i’ll pick something useless. if you finished a course that actually helped you at work or when applying for something new, i’d love to hear about it.

im also kinda curious if employers really check or care about these certificates. did having one improve anything for you in real life?

any tips, warnings or personal picks would help me figure this out before i commit.
