As an aficionado of low-profile keyboards, my maiden one was a Keychron K3. This keyboard served me well for two years before I upgraded to the 65% K7 Pro - now my personal favorite. It complemented my macbook's keyboard impeccably, with its minimalist design adding to its appeal. The K7 Pro is now a daily tool for my girlfriend, who fell in love with it.

Seeking to move to my next keyboard, I opted for the K11 Pro. It mirrors the K7 Pro closely but features an Alice layout. However, after some time, the keys started having poor response, leading me to return it to Keychron for repairs.

Recently, I got ahold of the NuPhy Air75, an upgrade in terms of the switch feel compared to my K7 Pro. Yet, the 75 key layout isn't tailored to my liking. There's also the Air60 variant - this model featuring 60 keys - but it doesn't adhere to a standard 65% layout that I'm drawn to.

Why would you return the entire board to Keychron bc of a few switches? I mean sure, they should pay for it, but have you even tried different switches? That most likely would've fixed your 'issue' with the switch feel (maybe it was the PCB tho, in which case you did the right thing). Just get the same switches you liked before, even for low-profile switches there's a decent range to pick from. You also never mentioned why you switched to the Alice board when you were perfectly fine with the regular 60%, unless you tell us what you disliked, we can't recommend anything.

Who do people place their keyboards on their MacBooks like that? Won’t they scratch the laptop?
