Is there anywhere to still buy a high-quality innerspring mattress without the memory foam?? I’m tired of waking up in a trough and having to roll myself out to get to the edge of the bed! 🤣 I tried both the WinkBed Plus and the Brooklyn Bedding Plank Luxe (which is a good firmness level for me as a stomach sleeper, but still has “the trough”.) And the foam is just too hot for me. I’ve gotten used to it some, but still wake up sweaty some nights. Tried making all kinds of temperature/pajama adjustments, all to no avail.
I’m looking for a very firm mattress, queen size, around $1500. Is it even possible?? This whole process has been so frustrating!

engineered sleep looks good. from what someone else was saying on here, you can special request that the springs be texas pocket springs, which from what i can tell are a superior product to most pocket coils. it looks like the ultra firm may already be TPS. for 1500, you can build your own with TPS 14ga, 3" TPS microcoils, and then whatever foam layer you want. 1 or 2" latex, energex, or firm foam, and a quilted cover.

looking for a new mattress. Mine is so so so worn, it's springs only. Do they make them anymore or are they just hard to find? i had memory foam and didn't like it so i don't want one of those again.
I am someone who is in bed way more than the avg person so I need something that won't give in and sag too quickly- yes i know that me being in bed more than usual is a big factor. Id like for it to be in store so no online box mattresses.

Please know that coils are not the same thing as innersprings, although most salespeople will argue that with you. Coils are smaller and use higher gauge wire (higher gauge equals thinner and cheaper wire). Innersprings like the traditional Bonnell Innerspring (which has a slight bouncy feel to it) uses larger gauge wire and is shaped like and hour glass. Coils collapse under pressure, springs resist weight thereby providing actual support. You can still find traditional innersprings but keep in mind that most people do not know or recognize the difference so you could end up getting something you don’t want. Look up bonnell innersprings mattress on google if that’s what you’re looking for. I strongly recommend them as innersprings last forever and provide actual support, top with a foam topper (I recommend a medium feel foam from foam factory, not the HQ which is way to firm) and you’re set for many years.

I am also in this same mattress hell. I HATE these new mattresses. I've been waking up in pain for almost 6 months while struggling to find a mattress worth the money. It's terrible now. All the suggestions below are helpful though! Sorry others are going thru it as well, but feel better knowing I'm not alone in this.
