I’m about to move to a small studio and want to invest in a super high quality futon that can act as my every day couch AND bed. Willing to drop up to $2k, but it’s difficult to find any good recommendations online so far. Any advice?
Side note: I have slept comfortably on floors before w Japanese style futons but no longer want to look a mouse straight in the eye.

I'm looking for a futon that's BIFL and comfortable. Most of the stuff I see on Amazon looks like it's made to last the duration of a lease. Any ideas?
Honestly futons might just suck haha. I've had three. All very uncomfortable couches for extended periods, and didn't take long before they were uncomfortable to lie on as well. I would recommend against metal pole style frames and go for wood slats if able.
Don’t buy it off amazon, even at crappy furniture stores you’ll be able to tell if it’s comfortable or no
