I've got the innioasis g3 player but the Bluetooth keeps turning off when I connect it to my car(Ford Kuga) which I can't understand why this keeps happening so I'm going to return it and hopefully get a different mp3 player that will connect to my car via Bluetooth. Does anybody have any recommendations on a good value for money Bluetooth mp3 player please?
Many thanks!
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice or point me in the right direction. My mother is getting a new car, she’s a music fanatic and her old car had a collection of CDs. However her new car is a Hyundai i10 and it doesn’t have a CD player.
She’s not great with technology so I’m trying to find a basic MP3 player for her. I’m looking at some iPod nanoesque players that she would like. I’m just wondering if there is anything I should be aware of regarding connectivity.
Also, I’m slightly obsessive about album artwork. If I want the player to send artwork to the car, is there anything I should look for?
Thanks for any advice.

Hello,
Did a search on mp3 players on reddit and a lot of suggestion threads I saw were posted here...so apologies if you're tired of seeing this, but I didn't find one that specifically asked what I'm looking for.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6" and I'm using Spotify premium to listen offline in the car, and out at my camp. While I love it, I really, really miss hooking my old iPod classic up through the USB connection on my car stereo...I loved the controls being there.
I bought a 32GB card for it, and use Spotify Premium to have offline playlists it is great, but as I said I definitely miss having my stereo controls.
I originally had an iPod classic (120GB) as it was the ONLY mp3 player I could find at a decent price, considering I JUST want it for MUSIC. Sorry for the emphasis there...But I wasn't shelling out $400 for an iPod touch large enough to store that many songs...as once again, not interested at all in apps.
I would've stuck with my iPod Classic, however, I've had 3 of them die on my in less than a year. All with Hard Drive problems...started out with songs not loading...and then immediately skipping to the next track on occasion (where skipping back would allow it to play the track), to it skipping multiple tracks one after another, and skipping back quit working. Finally, hard drive died and it did nothing other than make a clicking noise.
So after that I found the Samsung Galaxy Player, I got the 3.6" as it was the cheapest, and again just wanted it for music. Got this + a 32GB SD card, and been happy with it. Pros: No more converting songs, works great with Spotify Premium, price was great, storage was about good enough (would prefer 64GB). Cons: No stereo controls, and touch screen controls suck for skipping songs.
I did finally manage to find used and refurbed 64GB iPod touches today for $150 - $180, which is definitely a more appropriate price considering I really don't want the fancy shit at all...And I'm not getting any more classics because I want something reliable.
TL;DR: Have a Samsung Galaxy Player + 32GB card + Spotify Premium, works great, but no USB car stereo controls + touch screen controls suck. Need a lot of storage (had about 40GB of songs and growing on my old iPod Classic).
So my two questions are:
What is the best way to listen to music anymore? I don't have unlimited data on my phone anymore, and prefer offline files...Spotify premium works great, but I simply miss stereo controls. I do hate syncing with iTunes as well (Songs would frequently disappear...even legit ripped from CD trakcs).
If I go with a used/refurbed iPod touch, will Spotify work through the stereo in my car? Or is that only for locally stored songs?
iPod classics have been junk in my experience, so I'm a little leery of iPod touches, but assume they're more reliable.
I guess a 3rd question is should I simply keep my current setup? It does work great, as I said I just miss the functionality of the USB - Car setup and was wondering about the best way to do it...I really love Spotify Premium too!
Thanks! and apologies for probably the same request thread you've seen enough times already!
I am looking for recommendations on a device that can pair to my car’s Bluetooth system in addition to the normal headphone applications. I purchased a new car last year and a lot of “dumb” Bluetooth devices can’t connect to it. It is easy to pair a phone to it because you have a UI which you can enter the pairing code. Do any of the Android players have this feature?
ive just purchased my dumbphone to try pry myself away from poor social media habits, ive got the s22 cat phone and i am aware that spotify and bluetooth both work on the phone, however the connectivity of the bluetooth is only version 4.2 and im almost certain the quailty of the music through the usb-c port wouldnt be much better. my question is would anybody know of good mp3 players that have spotify as an option and also offer an above average sound experience, i am a bit of an audiophile and i would mainly keep the mp3 player in my car, i just really want a player that delivers a sound quality higher than your average smart phone. i have done minimal research and found the new sony walkmans but they are really expensive and it would be cool if the mp3 player was somewhat period correct to my cars headunit, pioneer deh-p717 (1990)
Anyone know of a good mp3 player that has good Bluetooth? I want to be able to connect it to my car. My internet sucks and I want to play the music I like in my car. I was hoping for one that has good Bluetooth and playback quality.
I’ve gone down a DAP rabbit whole in the last 24 hrs and there’s so much info I’m lost. I’m by no means an audiofile but I need music to function. I’m becoming increasingly aware that any digital media, my music included, can be taken away at the drop of a hat. I need a high storage, mp3 compatible, decent (not godlike, just decent) audio quality Music player. It has one job, /music/. I don’t need WiFi, or apps, or radio, or anything else. Just a dependable music player.
Hello! I’m looking for a Bluetooth MP3 player for around or under 200$. Thanks!
Helping to buy an Xmas gift, my dad has a new Toyota Corolla and laments the lack of a CD player. What he needs is a cheapish (<100) MP3 player that can plug into the car (for power) and connect via Bluetooth to the cars speakers. Any ideas? I'm sure there's a million out there but I don't know what to search for, I keep just getting those transmitter things and that's not what I want.
Think old school iPod, chargeable by car port and Bluetooth capability.
I've been using a 160GB iPod Classic for YEARS now for car audio. The simple USB setup worked perfectly for turning the key and having the music pumping immediately.
However, even after compressing my collection, it seems time's caught up to the old boy and I'm pretty much out of space.
I have all my music on my Android, but I hate fiddling with bluetooth, as it's not as simple as turning the car on and being good to go. There are also a few other issues that steer me away from bluetooth, such as song info not displaying half the time and needing to look at my phone while driving (not a fan for obvious reasons). The iPod connection via USB allowed for a lot of control directly from the main car display.
It seems like the only options out there are terribly-rated 32gb max Chinese units for $40 or $500-$1k ultra high def WAV format powerhouses meant to be used with headphones.
Does anyone know of a simple, honest-to-god mp3/AAC or other type of music player that isn't one of the two extremes mentioned above that I can just plug into my 2013 car and enjoy? Particularly one that has a lot of storage space or room to expand (microSD, etc.)?
Thanks so much to one of my favorite subreddits!
are there any dumbphone users that also have mp3 players that have bluetooth? if so can anyone recommend one that i can use with my airpods
Hi. Im sure someone has posted this but i still wanted to ask. Is there a good mp3 player with bluetooth? I am tired of having spotify. I want to delete it. I am going to delete. But, I have an issue.
I am hard of hearing. As much as i want to, I cannot wear earbuds. I wear hearing aids.
If I want to use an MP3 player and start buying music, I need to know that if I stick my MP3 player in my pocket, its not gonna disconnect from my hearing aids. They operate like any bluetooth headphones, in case youre wondering.
So yeah. gimme some good options for a bluetooth MP3 player pretty please.
Preferably one with physical buttons to skip/pause (Physical volume buttons would be nice by not a necessity)
Bluetooth
Looking for relatively cheap options no more than $60
Literally only for a bass build not to worried about audio quality at its highest degree. Just noticed a significant difference in bass output and accuracy between Bluetooth 5.0 and 5.3.
All the mp3 players in the market are either a phone, or have touch "buttons". I dont wanna take my big phone everywhere, if I only want to listen to a bit of music, or a podcast.
I cant seem to find a player with those traits:
-
Physical buttons
-
Bluetooth 5(.3) support
-
30 or more hours of battery life
-
Expandable space with SD card (if possible of any size)
-
Small screen (maybe black and white for longer battery life)
-
No upper limit on amount of files
-
AUX port, for transmitting to a car
I was thinking of making my own player, because the market lacks what consumers like I want. But time is an issue.
Hi, u/BopTheMadCop! This is a reminder about Rule #1 (If you have already added great details, awesome, ignore this comment. This message gets attached to every post as a reminder):
-
DETAILS MATTER: Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.

A couple of notes:
-
30 hours of battery life does exist, but that's a big ask and will limit your options.
-
The screen only matters for battery life when it's on. Once you turn it off for listening, it won't matter. Black and white is nearly entirely dead for products like this as no one wants it. Turn your screen off when not using it, and enjoy having easier navigation and a more user-friendly UI when you need it.

What do you mean no upper limit? As in the number of files, or the total storage capacity. "Unlimited" isn't really a thing in storage, though sometimes those limits are too high to matter. I assume you don't mean storage capacity bu total number of files. Well, file systems have limits. High capacity SD cards will use exFAT, which has a limit of 2,796,202 files per directory.

https://i.imgur.com/OfZ7Hrb.jpeg. Jokes aside, you mean a 3.5mm output. "Aux" is in fact not a connector type. It it a catch-all name given to line-level connections (usually inputs) that don't have a specific label (CD, tuner, tape, etc.). It is often 3.5mm, but that is not a guarantee. RCA is also very common for aux connections in home audio, and XLR is common for the same in very high-end home audio. There are other options as well, but those are the most common. Also, one final nit-pick: most connectors in audio are called "jacks" (female) and "plugs" (male).
Anyways, that list I sent is massive and has tons of great options from very affordable all the way up to boutique/very high-end. I hope it helps :).
I need one that will actually connect to the telluride. Amazon’s links appreciated
