I use my android phone and Bluetooth, but I bought my wife a little SanDisk mp3 player a couple years ago for running . Drag and drop files on and off, really small clip on thing. Good for what it is. I loathe iTunes from the core of my being. With the phone app I'm using it's a free one called "musicolet" and it's pretty good, but it doesn't have the normalization feature which is getting increasingly annoying with the changing volumes.
