r/AndroidGaming on Reddit: Some of my favorite multiplayer games 🍃
November 22, 2021 -

Just wanted to share with you guys some of my favourite multiplayer games, they're mostly co-op since that's what i usually prefer, but you'll find some pvp as well.

  • Catalyst Black: Free. Topdown shooter from the devs of Vainglory, player limit depends on the game mode, but you can be in a group/party with up to 5 people.

  • Diablo Immortal: Free (questionable tbh). I'm only including it because it's very fun to play casually with friends, i don't recommend getting into it too much because it's very p2w, it also has a pc version but i heard it's kind of a shitty port.

  • Bombsquad: Free. You can play this with up to 8 players (maybe more depending on game mode?) both online and local (you can connect bluetooth gamepads to your phone to play with several players on a single device, or use this app.) PC version.

  • Death Road to Canada: Paid. Just like Bombsquad, you can connect several gamepads to play with up to 4 players on a single device, does not have online multiplayer on the mobile version though. PC version.

  • Milkchoco: Free. A cute third person shooter. It's very fun and lightweight however the ui can be a bit hard to navigate so keep that in mind, most of the gamemodes are 5v5, and there's a battle royale mode where you can go solo or duo if i remember correctly. PC version.

  • Two Guys and Zombies 3D: Free. A bit rough around the edges but very fun, supports up to 6 players, or 8 on servers where players can choose to spawn as zombies.

  • Vainglory: Free. Sadly this game has been stripped down of features severely since the devs are working on their new game and didn't have enough money to mantain it as it was anymore, however is still playable and it's an extremely solid moba experience, both mechanically and visually, has 3v3 and 5v5 and you can also play with bots. For more info about what happened and a guide to play with friends check this site.

  • Polytopia: Paid. Technically free to download but you need to buy at least one of the paid tribes to play online, the multiplayer is pvp and asynchronous and the gameplay is turn based, so it's perfect if you wish for a more chill experience. Player count can go up to 16 i believe. PC version.

  • Stumble Guys: Free. A Fall Guys clone, very fun to play especially with friends. Supports up to 32 players. PC version.

  • Super Auto Pets: Free. I would call this a "minimalistic auto chess", i'm not sure if the 1v1 pvp is in real time or not but it's very fun regardless. PC version.

  • Setr's Auto Battler: Free. A Super Auto Pets clone basically, it's still on beta i think?.

  • Stick Warfare: Blood Strike: Free. A 2D shooter with multiple game-modes and multiplayer for up to 4 players.

  • No Humanity: Free. I think i would describe this game as a bullet hell? you need to play 30 matches to unlock the pvp though, but since you die so easily it only takes a few minutes to unlock, i do think it's worth it, i had so much fun with this one y'all. I think it supports up to 8 or 10 players.

  • Brawl Stars: Free. Most game modes are 3v3 but there's a battle royale mode for 10 players (solo or duo). It also has custom/private matches and map maker support.

  • Clash Royale: Free. Has 1v1 and 2v2 modes.

  • SAS 4: Free. Top-down zombie shooter, supports up to 4 players in co-op. The previous game in the series also has coop but it's pretty old so it might not work on newer phones. PC version.

  • Arcane Legends: Free. Kinda old but still very fun mmorpg, i do recommend to play this one with friends since it's rare to find players questing nowadays, most are on hangout/trading areas. You can also play it in your browser.

  • Sky: Children of Light: Free. Another mmorpg, i also recommend to play this one with friends instead of solo, they ui can be a bit hard to navigate too since it's very minimal, but it's a very solid experience especially if you play it with a gamepad and headphones.

  • Among Us: Free. We all know this one, can't remember the player limit but i think it's 10 now? great game to be a little shit to your friends. PC version.

  • Wolvesville: Free. Kind of the same concept/gameplay as Among Us, support up to 16 players, and it's another game that i had a lot of fun with.

  • Call of Duty: Mobile: Free. Player limit depends on the gamemode, but on battle royale you can play on a group of 4, and on other modes it's usually 5v5. Imo the most solid battle royale for mobile at the moment, i do have to warn that it takes 15.72gb in total after the in-game updates.

  • BarBarQ: Free. Io-like game, i haven't played this in a while but i think you play in a group of 3 against 4 other groups on most gamemodes, it's very fun but the english and spanish translations are kind trash tbh.

  • League of Legends: Wild Rift: Free. Probably the best moba you can play on mobile atm, i do prefer Vainglory but since it's lacking so many features i can't call it the best. Most modes are 5v5, i don't have it installed right now so i can't say the exact size, but this one also takes quite a lot of space after updates.

  • Cybersphere Online: Free. A third person shooter, graphically it's a bit rough looking but still fun to play, i think it was either 5v5 or 6v6.

  • Battle Prime Online: Free. Another shooter, pretty good graphics and solid gameplay. I think it was 5v5.

  • ARMAJET: Free. 5v5 shooter, the point of view is 2d but has 3d graphics. PC version.

  • Boom Slingers: Free. 2d turn based game with 1v1 matches, very similar to Worms. The characters are very cute 🌸

  • BADLAND: Free. Supports up to 4 players locally, no online multiplayer.

  • SuperTuxKart: Free. Racing game. Can't remember player limit but i think it was 20+, it also has singleplayer with bots, mod support and it's available on F-Droid too. PC version.

That's it, i will probably add more games as i rememeber/find them.

Keep in mind that these are just games that i personally tried and liked enough to put on the list, so you won't explode into a million pieces and die if you don't see a game that you liked on it💜

May 18, 2023 - Best Overwatch-like FPS for mobile. Agree Identity V was pretty solid for the genre. Takes a long time to unlock characters though. A good asymmetrical game like Dead By Daylight for mobile (way better than that mobile port though). Another great game multiplayer game is Goose Goose Duck!

I also recommend these games: Subterfuge, Solaris, Concern. In addition, there are quite a lot of genuine turn-based strategies with multiplayer mode, starting from Cold path, Warnament, Dummynation, Conquicktory, Warzone TBS, Hex Commander.

r/CoOpGaming on Reddit: Free mobile coop games
February 7, 2025 -

Hey so my partner (19M) and I (21M) have been playing a lot of Among Us lately and I’ve been getting a big less engaged with playing the same game all the time. I was hoping to get some ideas about some free or inexpensive coop games for mobile that don’t take up a whole lot of space. It feels like kind of a big ask, especially with the space thing, but any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Have a few suggestions for you that my wife and I got quite a few hours out of over the years. (we’re 26 but have been together 5 years now) These are all free and on iOS as a preface since we both have iPhones but some might be on Android too or a close match exists on Android! Family Style – Yell out ingredients and swipe to pass ingredients to each other from different devices to make dishes against the clock (Synchronous Play) Space Team – Yell out vaguely sci-fi sounding terms and press buttons/slide levers/turn dials in order to cooperatively fly a space ship (Synchronous Play) Two Spies – A fun strategy game based around the old cops and robbers puzzle with some power ups and several agents that add some fun depth to the strategy (Synchronous Play) Wordzee – Scrabble meets Yahtzee, use your letters to score words between five and seven letters and hit double/triple letter/word score spaces to rack up more points (Asynchronous play) Stop! – A race against the fastest player in which you’re given a letter and have to come up with words that start with that latter for various categories, but be careful, if the other player is faster than you, you only have as much time as they used! (Asynchronous Play) New York Times Games – A bunch of daily gold standard spelling/word puzzles. (Wordle, Connections, Strands, Spelling Bee, Crossword Puzzles) This one is less directly playing together but was fun to see who could get it in less moves or a faster time, and we still play these most nights together to unwind! Wavelength – A mind-reading guess the temperature game where you’re given two sides to a spectrum (like hot and cold) and a range that you have to get your partner to land in (maybe kinda hot but not too hot) so you have to come up with an item that leaves them placing the dial in the right range. (Maybe you said “hot cocoa”, definitely hot but not as hot as the surface of the sun) Game Pigeon – Various mini games that can be played through iMessages: pool, battleship, mini golf, darts, etc. If all else fails, we used to just go into the App Store and search “co-op” and download a bunch of games and play through them to see what stuck. This list was some of our favorites that we still have on our phones and play from time to time! Hope it helps!

Goose Goose Duck is very much like Among Us but it improves many things which makes it a very refreshing experience. Be warned though, once you play Goose Goose Duck, you probably won't want to play Among Us anymore (it's that good). GGD is/has: Free Cross-platform PC/Mobile Has in-game voice chat Has lobbies for players age 18+ where the hosts mic check and kick kids/toxic players. Knowing you are playing with friendly adults is a big plus Large community of mostly friendly players age 18+. Play on and off for a couple of weeks and you'll begin to see familiar names and voices very frequently Unique good, bad, and NEUTRAL roles. A neutral player is not on a team, they have their own unique win condition based on their role (i.e pelican eats people and must be last to survive, players in your belly only die if a meeting is called, and if you get killed before a meeting you explode and let everyone free) There's also a dodo who wants to get voted out. A vulture that must eat X number of dead bodies. A pigeon that wants to sneeze on and infect everyone. Paired with the voice chat mechanic the dynamic of good, evil and NEUTRAL players makes the game chaotically fun but work really well! Lots of maps (actually fun and played unlike Among Us) which have a few unique roles specific to said maps. I.e. Carnival map has a clown duck. Arcade map has a drone who turns into an alien (hides your identity when you kill but a sheriff could chase you down). A draft mode which gives everyone a random number in order from 1-16 and players take turns choosing 1 of 3 offered unclaimed roles of their choice. Alternatively you can random for a chance at any unclaimed role. Everyone has a unique role. Unlike Among Us you won't just be a plain old crewmate. Everyone gets a unique role with some sort of ability or bonus. Note: Make sure you go into custom games and NOT quick play. Kids play quick play. Custom games have all the 18+ lobbies.

r/AndroidGaming on Reddit: Top 5 Games to play with Friends!
December 24, 2016 -

5) Plato

-Boardgame app with quick matchmaking, good social features, and minimal space/data usage.

-10+ Classic boardgames such as spades, uno, Sorry!, Billiards and Checkers.

-Personal favorite is Werewolf. A game with 7-9 people where 3 people are trying to kill you. You must discover who the enemy is before they take you out.

4) BombSquad

-Ever like to just have a silly good time? Where you actually laugh aloud with your friends? Look no further.

-Goofy mechanics where the main objective changes every round. Play to survive, kill the other players, race, or even score soccer goals.

-Throw bombs, pickup your friends and throw them or even go for the 360° KO punch.

3)ShadowGun Legends

-Insane AAA graphics with futuristic style visuals and setting. First person shooter where you shoot aliens!

-Destiny and Halo inspired gameplay with nonstop action during missions, with some laughs here and there.

-3 person Co-op, 4v4 and 1v1 game modes. Along with over 100+missions. No ads, no "stamina bar" no gimmicks.

(My only wish is for more stuff to do with friends, as of the BETA you can only do certain missions on Co-op. Hopefully they add something to where you can invite friends to help with difficult missions. All of this could change with the release on March 22.)

2)VainGlory

-5v5 is released and it's a breathe of fresh air for this fast-paced MOBA.

-Strategic gameplay that feels great for a mobile game. No incredibly long boring games, and rewarding gameplay.

-Party up with friends in several gamemodes to kill the enemy base. 20+ Champions to choose from, all with fantastic abilities and very "simple" item purchasing.

(Aka no complicated counter picking with masteries, no complicated items and item builds. Items are simple, effective, and powerful which is great for new players.)

1)Rules of Survival

-Great graphics, 10/10 Dev team, tons of good times. Developers have pumped out great updates every two weeks.

-300 player solo games, 120 player team games. Tons of vehicles, weapons, and 2 huge maps to choose from.

-This game however is a very highly demanding game for your phone. So if you don't have a decent device it might not be great for you.

-Personally I have met a lot of great people on this game, I have noticed a large number of players are also older (21-35) which is nice.

-Unlike other Battle Royale games, this one feels better for mobile. Shorter matches with simpler loot and easy aiming. Just the right amount of loot RNG aswell.

-Good skill tier difficulty, which is rare in most ranked games. (Bronze feels like bronze, Gold players are challenging, Grand Masters are actually difficult players while not being impossible.)

Feel free to come play with my group of buddies anytime on our discord here: https://discord.gg/4pkVBCq

Hey I'm new to Android Gaming and mobile gaming.

I'm looking for miltiplayers game.. They don't nesscarily need to be 'high graphics' and such, but I don't mind a few either. ---- But replayability and smoothness and FUN w/ online, is key.

Simple to complex, what's good for multiplayer gaming?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I really miss beeing part of a game community of a new game. I enjoyed summoners war for so long and still play now and then.

I tryd a fw games but nothing scratches the same itch. Afk journey kept me busy only a few weeks because it was to limiting with it's resources and the guilds are a quite place. I tried some mmos but those requirements long sessions with attention and for that I have proper gaming Systems.

Most of the gacha games seem to try to attract with female character that's not for me either.

Maybe someone here can understand and make me a Suggestion.

June 4, 2022 - I second Clash of Clans. I played it for years. My advice is only play it if you're patient, unless you have lots of $ to drop on it. You don't have to pay to play or to win but it does take a long time to upgrade things.

April 10, 2025 - The game is not about the story, though? It's a simple RPG to play with friends every once in a while.
