If I had to pick one, it would be Love and Leashes. This one kinda caught me off guard. Ji-woo’s confidence and Ji-hoo’s awkward charm bounce off each other so well. Probably one of the more intimate things that I’ve found on Netflix, to be honest. I wouldn’t say it’s crazy explicit, but the chemistry is definitely doing its job. Now there’s an audio story that has a somewhat similar kind of vibe. It’s called “Post-argument cuddles hit different,” and it’s from one of the channels called Best Kept Secret. It’s basically this late-night talk between a couple making up after a fight, where they open up, forgive each other, cuddle, and fall asleep feeling close again. Most of my top 5 and even 10 have sad endings, so I guess I'll stay away from those. Here are some of my favorite romcoms: Some Like It Hot- I didn't discover this until very recently, but I absolutely fell in love with it. I'll be honest, the romance isn't the strongest part (although I've come to appreciate it a bit more upon rewatches). It's just so hilarious. Basically a precursor to White Chicks, two musicians witness a mob hit and disguise themselves as girls to join a girl band across the country. Monte Carlo- a retelling of the Prince and the Pauper with Selena Gomez. While You Were Sleeping- a train worker saves her crush from getting run over by a train and while he's in a coma at the hospital, she's mistaken for his fiancee. Things get more complicated when the guy's brother enters the picture. Move Over, Darling- 5 years after his wife is lost at sea, the now legally widowed father of two marries someone new. The day they leave for their honeymoon, the "dead" wife comes home. Undertaking Betty/Plots with a View (US title and UK title)- After killing her mother in-law, a politician's wife falls in love with the mortician. Deciding against a divorce, they plan to stage her death so they can runaway together. Doc Hollywood- The movie that inspired the plot of Cars. That's putting it nicely. Cars ripped it off. Overboard (1987)- A woman loses her memory after an accident and a man claiming to be her husband takes her home. In actuality, he's a guy she owes money to. The Shop Around the Corner- Two rival shop employees have a secret relationship that not even they realize they have. What to Expect When You're Expecting- In the same vein of Think Like a Man, in fact this came out the same year, this is another film based around a popular self-help book. Except instead of advice on relationships, advice on having a baby. The film follows several couples in various circumstances who are expecting. Whether intentionally pregnant, accidentally pregnant, or adopting. 10 Things I Hate About You- a fun (very 90s) retelling of the Taming of the Shrew. More on reddit.com
