Are noise-canceling headphones waterproof?
Why can I still hear some sounds through noise canceling headphones?
Noise canceling is great for blocking out consistent sounds, so the microphones have time to detect the sound and cancel it out. Loud, sudden noises are too quick to be properly canceled out, so you’ll still hear these unless you have really good passive isolation.
Are noise-canceling headphones worth it?
Father’s Day is coming… hubs loves his time on the Bad Boy, but could use both ear protection and bluetooth. Recommendations from those in the know?
Hi, I walk a lot every morning, in a city, and I use that time to make phone calls, record some videos messages, or attend zoom meetings, but also to listen to podcasts and music. So I'm looking for a headset with a microphone that can isolate my voice from the wind and surrounding noises, that I can connect on my iPhone with Bluetooth, and that emits sound in both hear (so no mono headset like Jabra Talk or the Blueparrot Warehouse headset series)
Google mostly gives "best noise-cancelling headphones" referring to the listening experience but that's not what I'm looking for. I also find a lot of "best headset for phone and video calls" but it always refers to indoor usage. ((Google is so bad when you don't look for what most people want).
So I thought this might be a good place to ask.
I'm considering the Jabra Elite 85h and just read this excellent in-depth review blog post that has a demo recording that shows how the MIC ANC performs. However, it says that it handles low voices differently than higher-pitched ones and that if you have a lower voice, you’ll sound half as loud. I'm a male with an averagely low pitch voice, so I'm not sure if I will have a good experience with it or not.
I have also read that review on the Jabra Elite 45h, which explain that the MIC ANC works well when tested with a fan at 1,5m from the mic, but it doesn't mention low pitch voice and the author of the review has a high pitch voice as you can hear in the demo she has posted.
So, which option would you recommend for me?
