Hi!
I'm looking to buy a nursery chair but I'm kind of blown away by the prices. I really want a recliner/glider that will work in a small space but is super cozy - ideally not a rocking chair.
I see Walmart seems to be where the price is right but I worry about the quality when I went to see one.
Im looking at the West Elm Beckett recliner right now.
Would love to hear what everyone thinks! I'm not opposed to buying used but I've been scanning marketplace for months and haven't seen what I want come up!

I want to warmn you about the absolute shit show west elm / crate and barrel has been. If it’s not available for cash and carry I would look else where. It took almost 1.5 years for our nursery furniture to arrive, customer service was awful too. I’m not the only one, I recall a post a month or so ago with other’s expressing warnings. I got a Monte off market place for $300 and it is so good. I’m debating buying a new-new one! It’s so good.

I need help finding a glider chair.
I can’t find one that is under $1,000 or has good reviews. And to find one that locks in general is even harder.
Buy buy baby is (essentially) now closed, furniture stores are too expensive, Amazon has almost no reviews on any gliders and most are bad.
What gliders would you recommend that are under about $800? You can suggest something that is more if thats all you have to suggest, im just looking for affordable really. But, I don’t want something that won’t even last a year.

My complaint about gliders are they are all beige and white :( and kinda expensive for something we’ll only use for a year. After much thought .. my husband surprised me with a beautiful glider from sixpenny. It has a slipcover and we got a fun color and we can use it our living room even when our baby and I outgrow it. It’s my push present he said haha and we literally got everything second hand except our stroller (literally everything! Including cloth diapers!)

I anticipate I’ll be spending a lot of time in it when baby comes so I’m willing to spend the money to invest in a good one. I have low back problems so looking for something firm/comfortable that also reclines.
Also- recommendation on color? I love the white/lighter colors but I’m guessing those get dirty fast and might be hard to clean? Thanks!!

I have the Dream swivel glider and recliner in chenille tweed light gray from PB Kids. It’s pricey but so worth it. My son is almost 1 and the chair has seen some spit up and vomit 🙃 easy clean up and no stains, looks perfect. I’m pregnant with my 2nd and can’t wait to continue using it.
