Does your college not offer Office 365 for free? If you're given an education email by your school ending in .edu, it's possible you have access to Microsoft services such as OneDrive set by the school, if so, you most likely have access to the full suite.
You can download the Android App of Word and log in to be able to edit PDF documents and save them as .docx, it's not bad for simply typing up documents and downloading them.

NOT "Pages"... it's clunky as hell to use -- i just want to open it and start typing!
NEEDS to have the ability to export in a format that can be read by other programs on a windows system such as LibreOffice... and not just .txt (would be nice to add some formatting or even pictures once in a while)
