Sometimes is basically new, all the packaging is missing, but all the parts are there, not marks or scratches and it all works great. Once or twice I've gotten something that is visibly damaged to the point where I would not want to be the owner, and I had gotten some open boxes where the device does not work at all. So I was looking at the prices for the Sony ht-a5000 soundbar at bestbuy and on sale it’s $699 but as open box it’s $330 would it be worth getting it open box instead? Has anyone bought a sound bar open box and how’s your guys experience with open box soundbars?

I got the soundbar and rears open box excellent (warranty as well). Paid retail for sub. Got the whole setup for around $1000.

Looks like my local Best Buy has one of these in “fair” condition for right at $300, which is right at the top of my budget. Which seems like an absolute steal assuming it’s not completely torn up and has everything it’s supposed to.
I’m coming from a 6-7 year old Vizio I got open box for like $70 lol I can’t even tell you the model number, I bought it on a whim because it was my first soundbar and didn’t want to spend too much, the subwoofer finally blew on me. I figured it’s almost guaranteed anything I get will sound better than the current Vizio.
I was also looking at the Hisense ax5125h but nowhere seems to have it in stock.
There’s also the Vizio SV510X on Amazon for $200 but I’ve read a lot of issues with connectivity.
My wife doesn’t want rear speakers in the living room all of the time so the plan is to bring them out for movie nights since the speakers on the 850 are wireless (kind of)
Just making sure I’m not missing a better option in that price range?

Try to bump up to Good. Even in that condition my Open Box Good HW-QS730D was $275. Fair is $265 and Excellent is $285, but not available. Ordered, went to the store and although the soundbar and sub were in excellent condition, there was no remote and the wrong power supply. And only one, when you need two. Good is “May be missing non-essential parts, accessories, or packaging.” I needed the remote to connect my SWA-9500 surrounds, which I got for $85 excellent open box. You can’t connect them without the remote and can’t use the app. Manager was the one who pointed out the wrong power supply, went to the floor, and returned with the remote and correct power cords. Just my 2¢.

Hello so I got a Samsung HW-Q800B soundbar kit with the subwoofer a couple of years ago and now I wanna upgrade to a better model. I’m trying to do some research on the newer models of Samsung soundbars but I still don’t know and having trouble finding the best soundbar. I’m trying to upgrade the sound experience but I also wanna make sure I have the bass upgraded since that’s what I enjoy most on my q800b. I see that people are recommending the new 990D but some people say online that the bass is alright and isn’t that good. Please help me out thank you

I do not understand why some people say the Q990D does not have much base. when I am watching movies it is not constantly rattling my windows, but that is because whoever did the sound for the movie did not want it to do that,but man when they want the base to hit it will rattle my whole house. I am 100% satisfied with the base.

The subwoofer is completely fine, unless you live in a mansion. People are regurgitating shit they hear on YouTube
