I use the DeWalt one. The battery life is pretty good. It's plenty long enough for doing a few boards or some smaller projects. I have a plug-in one I will break out if I'm doing a large project. I'm looking for a new sander. I've always avoided battery powered, as they just never lasted long enough. Have the been any improvements in them? Almost all are brushed aren't they?

Local Lowe's has DeWalt 20v orbital brushless for $99 right now. Almost bought one yesterday but didn't so can't speak to battery life etc.
