Hello r/backpacks !I am currently in the market for a backpack and the more i research online the harder the decision is becoming. I am looking for a bag that meets my requirements. I take my backpack to work daily, and then go to the gym after work. I also will utilize the same backpack for going shopping at the grocery store and farmers markets on the weekend. I currently use the fjallraven kanken backpack and love the handles of it but its just too small for my needs.
Requirements:
Budget is $200
Backpack has decent looks for taking into work (sorry, no Cotopaxi)
Bag must have a laptop sleeve or compartment
trying to buy from company that is sustainable
Fits Nalgene 32 oz (preferably outside)
potentially has handles like a tote for easy carry

The Refugio is a good universal pack with great feature set and very light for the size. The 26 liter is a womens specific model, 28 liter for men. Patagonia quality is excellent and customer service and warranty too. They make a good effort to be ecologically positive. But fit is very important too. I recommend going to a store that has a good selection of packs and sample weights and trying them on. It’s just like buying shoes.
