so i’ve been saving up for a playstation 5 for a while and i finally decided this is the year i’m getting one. my old ps4 is starting to sound like it’s gonna fly away every time i turn it on, and i kinda want to catch up on some of the newer games everyone keeps talking about. i’ve been checking around but it’s kinda hard to tell which prices are actually good and which ones are just normal.
for folks who grabbed a ps5 recently, where did you find the best price drop? do they usually get better around this season or it’s pretty random? also wondering if the digital version is worth it or if i should just go with the disc version so i dont get stuck later on.
curious what you all ended up choosing and if there’s anything i should watch out for before i finally pull the trigger.

PS4 Pro has gotten slow recently. Lots of lag, controller not connecting etc. Time for a PS5 right?
Batman Arkham Knight for 3,99€ was ridiculous. But the best deal I had, considering how much playtime and fun I had with it, especially when you compare it to Nintendo‘s 90€ Mario Kart World, was STEEP with every DLC for 15€. For me, who was an absolute Skate 3 Fan on the PS3, STEEP had me hooked for so many hours. My next best deal was probably FINAL FANTASY XV with every DLC for 13,99€. The initial day one version of this game was controversial, but the complete, fixed game with every DLC for 13,99€ was absolutely fun to play, I love that game.
I must have bought Plants vs. Zombies GW2 for roundabout 15€ too back then and had hundreds of hours of fun with it.
I’m not THAT of a gamer, so hundreds of hours in a game is an ABSOLUTELY HUGE amount for me.
I just want to read your best deals you purchased, because I feel like people forgot how much fun you can have for so little money. Nowadays, there’s a lot of people defending Nintendo‘s 90€ Mario Kart, while I’m here like: I play since the PS3, never bought a game at full price (60€ back then) and had thousands of hours of fun throughout my whole 1/4 of my life. How 90€ is suddenly defendable?
Granted I know it’s the Fat & 825 GB model but still a descent deal because if what you get.
Hi boys and girls in the UK just to let you know Very are offering either 10% back on BNPL. But I have just signed up to Very credit and if your a new customer it gives you a WELCOME bonuse of 20% for your first purchase. Now it does say the it excludes electronics/Switch 2/ Xbox / iPhone 17 but it doesn’t say it excludes PlayStations. I don’t know if it’s a typo but I just managed to get this bundles for £539.19 inc delivery which is crazy. I hope this helps you.
I did try to cross post this from thr r/PS5pro community but it wouldn’t let me

looking for the best ps5 console black friday deals this year. most stores seem to have limited stock and random bundles, so wondering if anyone has spotted legit discounts or a solid console only deal. figured we could share what we find so everyone has a shot before they sell out.
So after 3 years without gaming I decided to check back on my ps4 and realized that thing is busted. I‘m now looking for a new console and of course it has to be a playstation with a disc reader so I can play all the physical games I own.
Now I‘m confused with the PS5 models, there seems to be a normal version that is nowhere available and a slim version which according to some friends sucks. The Pro version also exists but only with a separate disc reader which costs extra?
Do I:
wait for a Ps5 Pro disc edition (when does it come out?)
buy a used ps5 disc edition (do I run the risk of it being abused and or broken?)
buy a ps5 slim disc edition (is the performance sub par?)
buy a ps5 pro with the extra disc reader (is the added cost worth the added performance?)
Thanks for any advicen

trying to grab a ps5 disc version this year if the price drops. missed the bundles last time and dont really care for digital only. has anyone seen early ads or leaks for black friday 2025 yet? wondering if retailers will finally push some real discounts or just throw in random games again.
i’m finally ready to upgrade from my old ps4 and i’ve been checking out ps5 bundles. i want something that includes a couple of games or maybe an extra controller but i’m not really sure which bundles are worth it or if i should just buy the console alone.
for those who bought a ps5 recently did you go for a bundle or just the console? were the bundles actually worth the extra money or did it feel like you were paying more for stuff you didn’t really need? also how do you find bundles that are actually in stock without paying crazy prices?
and for people who upgraded from ps4 how big of a difference did it feel like in terms of performance and game selection? i’m hoping it feels like a real step up and not just a minor upgrade. would love to hear any tips or experiences before i pull the trigger.
I just walked out of Best buy with a PS5 for $254. They have the black friday $100 off and if you trade in your ps4. Mine was a pro I got an additional $75 off with a $100 promotional credit!!! Rock bottom price!
Hey everyone, I’m planning to finally buy a PS5 but I’m not sure when and where to get the best deal in Ireland. Also, I’m torn between the Pro and the regular version, and between the Slim and the Standard model. I’d really appreciate your advice on:
Where to buy the PS5 (online vs in-store, or any trusted retailers)?
Is there a best time of year for deals (e.g., Black Friday, summer sales, etc.)?
Should I go for the Pro or is the normal version still good enough?
Any noticeable differences between the Slim and Standard models?
I’m not a hardcore gamer but I do enjoy quality visuals and smooth performance. Thanks in advance for any tips!
Thank you..
