Getting started with ethical hacking
Tough to find because it’s far more than just python that’s needed for ethical hacking. I suggest TryHackMe.com as a starting point for general knowledge on ethical hacking. They may have some simple courses that are Python specific. I also have these books and I like them: Gray Hat Python and Black Hat Python, by Justin Seitz. Those may scratch your itch for Python specific hacking, but there’s so much more to explore when it comes to ethical hacking. More on reddit.com
How do I learn scripting or to put simply 'code my own exploits/tools'?
This may not answer your question, but you can always try reverse engineering existing tools/scripts or adding onto them to make it better and have more functionality. Take a script of your choosing written in python and add to it. Try to find ways to make it better, but have fun with it. Learn the fundamental infrastructure of it, what kind of code does what, what is commonly used for what function etc etc. After awhile of messing with different already existing scripts you'll have a nice grasp on what works and doesn't work when writing your own. If you want to test writing an exploit of your own, find an already existing CVE exploit on GitHub (preferably written in python) but don't look at the code. Look up the CVE and see what service/server/plugin etc that its vulnerable to. Try to code a working exploit for that CVE, when you think you got it, compare it to the working exploit you found on GitHub and look over the code. See where you went wrong and take notes ✅ Practice makes perfect, you gotta start somewhere and it won't happen overnight so don't put too much weight on your shoulders. Rome wasn't built in a day. Goodluck with your coding! More on reddit.com
