Should You Use Free Amazon Reverse ASIN Tools?

You shouldn’t use free Amazon reverse ASIN tools as they often lack advanced data mining abilities to generate accurate insights from your competitor’s ASINs.

Likewise, most free Amazon reverse ASIN tools are limited to a few results per search or less than 10 monthly searches, putting you at a research disadvantage.

6 Best Reverse ASIN Tools to Elevate Your Listings in 2025
How Does a Reverse ASIN Lookup Work?
The way a reverse ASIN lookup works is a SaaS platform like Helium 10 must first scrape all of the search results for a large set of search terms and warehouse that data along with estimated search volumes and other pertinent information. Once you input the ASIN into a tool like Cerebro, it then references that data warehouse and shows you all of the keywords it’s found that product ranking for.

r/AmazonFBATips on Reddit: I tested the top 10 Amazon ASIN Lookup tools (Free vs. Paid) so you don't have to. Here is what I found.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been selling on Amazon for a while, and one of the biggest drains on my budget has always been software subscriptions. $99/month here, $49/month there—it adds up fast, especially when you just need to do a quick Reverse ASIN lookup to spy on a competitor or check sales estimates.

I decided to do a deep dive into the current landscape of ASIN lookup tools. I tested about 15 tools and narrowed it down to the top 10.

I wanted to share my top picks here for anyone trying to cut costs without losing data accuracy.

1. The Best "Actually Free" Tool: 10Xprofit ASIN Lookup is a browser extension that requires account signup and installation. It allows users to analyze Amazon products by ASIN or URL, showing estimated sales, reviews, keyword data, and basic competition insights directly on the product page. Suitable for quick in-browser product research.

Pros:

• Provides sales, review, and keyword insights

• Works directly on Amazon product pages

• Simple and easy-to-use interface

Cons:

• Requires account signup

• Chrome extension must be installed

Verdict: A useful in-browser ASIN lookup tool for sellers who don’t mind signing up and prefer quick product research inside Amazon.

2. The Enterprise Standard: Helium 10 (Cerebro) We all know H10.

Pros: The data depth is unmatched. The "Cerebro IQ" score is great for finding low-competition keywords.

Cons: It’s expensive. If you are just starting, it hurts the wallet.

3. The Arbitrage Essential: SellerAmp SAS If you are doing OA or Retail Arbitrage, this is better than the others because of the mobile app and ROI calculator. It’s built for scanning, not deep private label research.

4. The Must-Have Extension: Keepa I don’t care what other tools you use; you need Keepa for price history graphs. It’s ugly, but it tells the truth about price stability.

My Takeaway: If you are a heavy power user or an agency, stick with Helium 10 or Jungle Scout. But if you are a bootstrapper or just want quick, accurate data without a login wall, I’d highly recommend checking out 10Xprofit.

I wrote a full breakdown of all 10 tools with pros/cons and screenshots on my blog. If you’re interested in the other 6 tools on the list, you can check it out here:

r/FulfillmentByAmazon on Reddit: Reverse ASIN Tool Recommendations
July 5, 2018 -

Hello all....

I'm looking for a reverse ASIN tool - I've had Scope by SellerLabs for while now, which is a reverse ASIN tool to some degree. I guess my question is...if I've already got Scope, do I really need anything more? If so, what is recommended?

Reason for use - one of my products has limited keywords after extensive research, I'm looking to expand this range by using reverse ASIN lookups on more comptetitors

Thanks guys
