Hello, guys.
I would like to start my own podcast and have already picked out some equipment. However, I can't decide which microphone will be the most suitable choice. I will be recording in this small room (photo link: https://ibb.co/ftdmZxP) and not exactly a studio... I read somewhere that shelves full of books act as a good sound insulator. But they are only from two sides. Then there is a window niche and a door. Well, I don't know if a condenser or rather a dynamic microphone will be more suitable choice here.
I would like to stay with the RODE brand. My choice was Rode NT1-A or Rode NT1. Which (dynamic or condenser) would you recommend for this room? I plan to record an interview with one or two guests at a time. Everyone would sit at a table and have a microphone right in front of them.
Would it help if I put a portable acoustic panel in the window recess and by the door to make this room acts more like „studio“?
My picked equipment:
MIXER: RODECaster Pro II
MIC: NT1 Kit Rode
BOOM ARM: PSA1+ Rode
HEADPHONES: Rode NTH-100
Thank you 😊
Looking at doing a 4 person setup. Using shure mics, prob mv7. I hear the pro 2 isn’t as good as the original, but wanted to get some feedback from you all. I’m fairly new to podcasting, but have a lot of video and audio engineering background. Just want to make sure what I get is solid setup and easy to work with, and also opportunity to grow into advanced features. The zoom p4 or p8 was another item that looks interesting.
