To start, I am not very tech savvy. I’ve been looking up keyboards and have been trying to learn and understand differences between switches. I am completely lost. As soon as I think I found something that should work it’s either not available or upon hearing a review of the sound it’s not quiet at all.
My GF is neurodivergent and my gaming has started to bother her as far as my keyboard goes. I’m currently using a Razer Ornata V3 X. It was like $40 and I thought it was quiet enough.
I am willing to spend $100-$200 on a keyboard that is as silent as possible, I would prefer it to be one that I don’t have to take apart and change switches as I don’t know what I’m doing. However if that just isn’t realistic, I will spend money on the quietest switches and figure it out. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
Are there any actual good SILENT keyboards on the market?

I’ve always given into the hype of mechanical keyboards. I was young and naive, but it was popular, so why not? I found out that I HATE them.
It’s been a few years, but my latest keyboard is a red switch, which is supposed to be the quietest one, and the keystrokes are so loud. I have an external microphone, and it picks up everything. Mouse clicks aren’t a problem, but even the quietest mechanical keyboard absolutely ruin everything for me. I had a membrane keyboard at one point, and it wasn’t bad. It was too long ago for me to remember how loud it was, but it was quieter than what I currently have. I would go back to a membrane keyboard, but are there any actual good silent keyboards out there that you’d recommend?
Budget: probably around $60 or $70 (USD), but cheaper is always good.
Size: 80%-100% I don’t care too much, but a full keyboard is preferable.
I also prefer it to be wired, and without RGB.
I've been using a mechanical keyboard (one of the cheap ones) for a while now, and I've been looking into which split keyboard to buy/build.
Recently, for some reason, I've been developing what seems to be misophonia, and the loud sound of the keyboard bothers me when using it. I've tried several things to reduce this, and it's gotten better, but I'd still like to eliminate more of the noise.
I'd like to buy/build a split keyboard that isn't noisy, but most of the ones I've seen/heard are very noisy. What are the quietest switches and keycaps that can help with the noise?
