I have a couple of hotel-style rooms in the back wing of my house that I rent out through booking-dot-com. I rent out the entire upstairs wing through Airbnb. I originally thought the back wing would be attractive to business travelers, but I have had almost none. But what I have had is lots of work groups, since I have some fold-out mattresses and can sleep six or more people. I am trying to increase my potential occupancy numbers, as two men can share a room, but usually not a queen bed.
I want to add four chairs that will fold out to a twin-size bed. One will go in each of my queen bedrooms, one in my back living room, and one in my 2 bedroom cottage. I want these chairs to look really nice, not like a folded up bed; in other words, like a chair I bought for the room. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am likely to buy off of Amazon, and will buy one chair first to see what it looks like, but I still don't want to be stuck with even one bad-looking chair. My overall decor is Mid-Century Modern, FWIW, as in the back wing of my house could have served as a set for Mad Men.
Hi folks,
I was at a Residence Inn with my wife and kids, and my son discovered that, in addition to the couches being sleepers, one of the chairs opened up into a twin-sized bed. This would go quite nicely in my Airbnb, as I have a fourth bedroom that I would like to bill as a "family" room with a king bed and a twin sleeper. Does anyone have one of these sleeper chairs they would recommend? The ones I've found on Google have gotten bad reviews (seams bursting, legs breaking).
