We are having a baby soon, and anticipating two grandmas who will want to come for overnight visits. We are looking to add a sleeper sofa to our apartment to give them somewhere nice to sleep, and want something that will last a long time as we don’t like to be wasteful.

Yeah I know it's not ideal but we do have a sofa bed for guests and the mattress is not comfy, even though we ordered it with their higher quality memory foam mattress. Any recommendations for a replacement? It's a queen size, but it not a standard queen. We had purchased an additional foam topper for it and had to cut off a few inches as it was too long for the bed.

I had a similar issue with my sofa bed. I ended up getting a custom-sized latex mattress. It was pricier, but it made a huge difference so you might want to look into that

I bought a couchbed for my guest room, and my guests always comment on how comfortable it is. Note that it's only about 10 inches thick and so when folded into a couch it's an extremely low one.
