Hey all - wondering if anyone has a comfortable sofa bed/ convertible sofa /fold out sofa that they would recommend. I've only slept on a few and all were not so comfy but I have hope that some company has improved the tech. I'm near Newmarket but will travel Ontario for a great option! Thanks!
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a really comfortable and reliable sofa bed, preferably one that is a queen size bed. I have seen many pull out sofa beds but I don't find them comfortable. The most comfortable I've seen till date is the Cozey Neptune but I'm seeing varying feedback on Reddit. Can you please help with your recommendations? I'm based on Toronto, if that helps. Thank you for your help.

I ordered a Leon's sofa bed over six months ago and it still hasn't been delivered. I'm working to try to get a refund. Any recommendations? Preferably not Ikea and definitely not Leon's. Thank you!
** Edit: maybe saying pull out couch bed would help make things more specific?
Hey guys! Does anyone know where to buy a sofa bed that doesn't break the bank? I've been looking around online and they are so expensive! Any help?
We are having a baby soon, and anticipating two grandmas who will want to come for overnight visits. We are looking to add a sleeper sofa to our apartment to give them somewhere nice to sleep, and want something that will last a long time as we don’t like to be wasteful.
DAE have a sleeper sofa they don’t feel bad having a 70 yr old parent spend the night on?
We’re also open to other solutions!
ETA: we went with a daybed from Wayfair with our own twin mattresses added to them. Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
Hello all, I'm looking at getting a sofa bed (queen size) to fit in my apartment as a couple would be visiting us for a few weeks. We would like to buy one and keep for future.
Are there any good places to buy one? Do you have any recommended models from specific stores?
Thanks.
We just moved into a larger house and would like to have a sleeper sofa (preferably a Queen size, but could do a Full) in the Family Room for when we have visitors.
We tried the Ikea Farlov, but it's brutal bad. The material is terrible and the seat is too long to be comfortable. The bed is ok and very sturdy, but we are just not happy.
We have no aesthetic to match, so style isn't as important, although we don't want ugly :)
Happy to spend around $2500 so long as it is a solid build.
Moving to BC in a couple of months, and was hoping to get a few Canadian sofa recommendations. These are the sofas I'm currently interested in (Scandinavian style):
-
Sundays Any Day Sofa
-
Sundays Sofa
-
EQ3 Replay Sofa
-
EQ3 Oskar Sofa
-
Gus Modern Silverlake Sofa
I'll be moving into a mid-sized apartment, so looking for anything that's less than 91" in length. I visited an EQ3 showroom and liked all of their products. I've also tried Rove Concepts, but don't really like the feel of any of their options. Does anyone have long-term reviews of any of the above (or similar) products? Also open to any other local Vancouver furniture store recommendations. Budget is around the 3K range.
Edit: Ended up getting the EQ3 sofa, and loving it! Fits perfectly inside my apartment, and delivery process was smooth as well.
Space in my downtown condo is limited. Can you recommend a Sleeper sofa bed that works for you?
Get an L frame futon and an eight inch mattress.
I bought an Ikea Friheten about 6.5 years ago and its going strong. Its on the firm side and thats I needed. Gotten softer over the years after being the primary crash pad in the living room for me as well as guests, but still firm enough to not cause aches and pains when I crash on it instead of the bed. Great size for apartment/condo.
Pretty much what the title says! I would love to just buy a couch without the sleeping option but until we have more space it just makes the most sense for guests..
We love something like this. https://www.westelm.com/products/bliss-sleeper-sofa-h261/, However it is too big. 72. inches is our max for the length, so we are looking for a double bed not a queen. It would also be great to be able actually go and see it in person.
If anyone knows where we should look or specific couches, i would really appreciate it!
The only thing “slightly” less awful to sleep on that a futon is a hideaway bed in a sofa. And maybe not even less. Futon = bag of lumps. Sofa bed = the ground. Test drive one if you keep on down this path. They fold because of the 4” mattress.
u/moonlight_lady-01 Did you find anything good? I'm also looking for the same, small, modern, none bulky and comfortable sofa bed.
Looking for a well made sofa that is comfortable and doesn’t cost over 4K. I keep seeing adds pop up for Article but as I understand they are not actually manufactured in Canada and the quality is not on par with the price tag. I’d like to avoid shops like wayfair. Ideally I’d be able to go look at the couch in person but not appose to online as long as they are reputable. Im drawn to cloud couch, Sundays/Article for their big fluffy modern couches but ideally will hold up over time.
Is it possible to get a new couch around 2000$ that will last at least 4-5 years? It seems like everything around 1000-1500$ is just total junk (I.e the brick, ikea, Leon’s etc).
Personal experience and recommendations welcome, bonus if businesses are from or produced in BC but not a deal breaker, mostly looking for Canadian made.
I’ve been eyeing article, e3q, Sundays, and Costco for quality furniture.
Hi r/Vancouver,
I've been looking over craigslist for couches over the last 4 weeks. However, nothing came to the standard of cleanliness where I wouldn't rather just drop an extra $500 on the sectional. I just purchased my first home and will be keeping the furniture I buy for over 5 years and ideally want higher-quality pieces. My budget is currently around $500 to 1,500.
Has anyone tried Pallucci Furniture or Structube over Ikea quality? Ikea has a good return policy however, I know their wood is low quality and budget-friendly.
Where did you guys get your Sectional or Sofa? Is $1,500 reasonable for a higher quality piece?
What couch companies do you know founded and grown in Canada. I will start with couchhaus and sixtrend sofa. Who else?
So I'm looking for a sectional (L shape) couch, and I almost bought a couch at Leon's, but after I looked into it people say DO NOT buy from Leon's, brick, or Ashley.
Any quality not too overpriced stores with couches not made from solid wood and good quality wear/tear fabric or leather?
Also what's your opinion on mechanical/automatic couches? Probably asking for trouble?
Thanks!
Edit: maybe I shouldn't have said falls apart after a year. It's an exaggeration. But my brothers couch started peeling after a year.
I have couple of size+ friends who will be sitting on them, i dont want them to get hurt or the couch to break. So solid construction of the couch is a plus.
Hey all! In the market for a sofa bed/pull out couch. Budget is around $1500-2000 and bed component needs to be at least a queen. Found lots of options on google but tough to tell from reviews what’s best. What do you all think?? Thanks!
I'm looking for recommendations on the best sleeper sofa to use in a room that dual purposes as a guest room and a tv room. It will be a TV room/hang out spot 99% of the time. There is about 120" of space available along a wall.
I looked into American Leather based on other recommendations I saw on this sub and they look great, but are quite pricey.
That being said, I am determined to not have a terrible, uncomfortable, bar in the back, miserable guest experience bed and a comfortable couch for the day to day and will certainly pony up for the American Leather if it's the best of the best by a large margin.
Curious what others have done to outfit a hang out spot/guest room. Any brand recommendations or specific models of couch? I can't do a murphy bed as there just isn't really enough space for a couch and the murphy bed.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
