I'm looking to upgrade from my 1080p Tv (lol) and plan on buying a Sony model, I don't like LG Hisense TCL and Samsung as options
Money is only a secondary issue, I wouldn't spend more that 2500-3000$ tho
So my question is, would you recommend going for the A95L since it‘s top end, or rather Bravia 7 with mini LED or even A80L? Bravia 8ii also seems really really good.
My main key features besides being a Sony are the standards, VRR and 120hz

If I get a new ps5 pro (not sure yet based off the price) what new Sony TV would pair best with it for 4k gaming? I know most newer Sony TVs are able to detect the ps5 and set the best settings automatically which seems super cool. What's everyone had the best luck with thanks!

The best would obviously their best TV's. Like you said most modern Sony's play well with other Sony products. This is the order of best to least best of the 2024'ish models: a95L Bravia 9 Bravia 8 Bravia 7 x90L Now there's others like the 2023 discontinued models like x95L a80L/a75L x93L but those are going bye bye and are hard to find.

Have a PS5 Pro and mostly playing Helldivers. Our TV is a several years old now and I’m waiting for it to bite the dust.
It’s a 4k Sony LCD 60hz and does HDR. Looking for something to eventually replace it and wondered what the recommendations are for the PS5 Pro. Probably want around the 55” to 60” size since our tv sits in the corner of the room.

Looking to buy a TV to pair with my PS5. Most gaming I do on it are the story/adventure games (GoW, Ghosts of Tshushima, etc). From my experience with PC gaming, I found the sweet spot to be 1440p 120Hz.
Would modern 4k TVs be able to do 1440P 120Hz? The advertised resolution on most TVs is 4k60
How bad is input lag on TVs? What ms specification makes it not noticeable?

Many 4K TVs will also do 1440p yes however to be clear PS5 isn’t PC lowering the resolution won’t give you more performance. As for TVs check RTINGs . Personally I use an LG C2 OLED has near instant response times, perfect black levels, C2 has all 4 HDMI ports as 2.1, supports Dolby Vision for my (non-PS5) 4K Blu-Ray player and every format of VRR so I can use it for my PS5 and PC.

If you want the absolute best Sony TV for PS5, go with the A95L OLED. Yes it's expensive, but the picture quality is mind-blowing - the perfect blacks, infinite contrast, and incredible color accuracy make games look unbelievable. In my opinion, the Sony X90L is an excellent choice for PS5 gaming. It supports 4K at 120Hz, has low input lag, and offers HDMI 2.1 ports. The picture quality is fantastic, especially with HDR content. Plus, being a Sony TV, it's optimized for PlayStation consoles.

I would always say OLED, just make sure the one you buy supports VRR and ALLM. Most OLEDs support ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) which is great for any game as it minimizes all the TV filters that contribute to input delays or terrible colors that exaggerate contrast/brightness for wow factors.
Some of the cheapest OLEDs do not support VRR. VRR is great for games that support it, which allows many games to run higher framerates than originally advertised. Only games and TVs that support VRR will use this feature. It can also help smooth out some of the jittery games that run less than 60FPS. Sometimes 40-50FPS is fine, most of the time 30FPS is just too bad to play.
Be sure to check your TV supports 4K120, should mean it supports ALLM and VRR.
