Q990C owner here. While it is great for TV and Movies I'm still in two minds about music for personal use versus music for sharing. I like my music loud when alone and the Q990C is quite capable at higher volume in my set listening position but for entertaining there's a sweet spot that others won't appreciate at lower volumes that you'll probably want for dinner parties, etc. My honest preference for 'background' music is to use larger floor standing or even better wall mounted monitors with wiring back to a separate amp because the 'warmth' of that sound seems nicer than the small drivers even in higher end bars like the Samsung Q990 series. If you're going to invest in a nice sound system for multiple purposes then worth asking yourself if getting wiring in place for proper speakers is worth it or not. More on reddit.com
