Hey!

Kitchen Renos starting soon. I’m trying to finalize final details. I had a sink selected from Lowe’s, however, some of the reviews added pictures of a sink that’s not suppose to rust... but it rusted and scratched. I love to cook so I’m searching for a durable but elegant sink. I’ll attach the link of what I’m thinking of. Any recommendations please include a link if possible. Thanks.

Sick of the double bowl sink I have. Ready to upgrade. I've narrowed it down to 2 near identical top mount stainless sinks which will be in my laminate countertops. They are both the pseudo 'Pro' model in both brands with the same large size bowl area, same depth, same 16 gauge, and very close in price. So the question...which one is the best bet for overall satisfaction and longevity, Kraus Standart Pro or the Ruvati Tirana Pro? Thanks!

I would really appreciate any advice on the purchase of a stainless steel sink – brand rankings, best places to purchase and even model suggestions

Here’s some background information:

I use my sink a lot. I wash fruits every morning, salad items at lunch and lots of veggies at night. Those veggies, when boiled, sit in a strainer in the sink to drain. My husband cooks the meat and simmer always drains chicken juices (yuk!!) or meat juices or putting nasty wrappers in the sink. So there needs to be 2 sink sides - to avoid contamination from his tasks to the cleaner prep/drain side of the fruits and veggies. This is not debatable - I do not want to die because he is a little loosey goosey absent minded when he cooks. So two sinks it is.

What I want/constraints etc:

The sink is going into an island into an existing 36 inch wide base cabinet.

I would like rear offset drains.

The sink needs to be adequately sloped so that water drains .

I don’t want hard to clean corners, so I guess there needs to be some rounding even if minimal.

I want the finish that is more scratch resistant

I want a sturdy sink so it needs to be preferably 16 gauge?

I want a quiet sink.

I want the left side to be larger (his side) than the right (my side)

I am considering a low divide, smart divide sink as long as the divide is approximately 6 inches tall

I would prefer a 10 inch deep sink rather than a nine inch deep.

Brands that I have seen suggested - can you rank them from best to worse?

Although price is a consideration it is not the most important. The most important thing is that the sink does not frustrate me on a daily basis - by not draining, or getting gunk in the 90 degrees corners etc. After the frustration level is satisfied then price would be considered.
