Hello guys,
I know there will be a lot of comments arguing which one to pick.
So far I have looked into Jarvis, flexispot, uplift and so on and am really confused about which one's the best.
So please share your standing desk recommendations.

So I'm leveraging the hive mind to help me as I am starting to do research into getting a standing desk. I have recently started doing work on my posture, and I'm looking to replace my current writing desk with a standing one. Based on the space, dimensions are essentially 48"W x 24"D. I'm 5'6" so I'm guessing any desk that is adjustable height will work, and I'd like it to have, ideally, 2 drawers to it.
So, here's the deal: I don't even know where to start on this because this isn't the sort of product that CB2 (where I got my current desk) is doing. What are the brands to look at? Is it possible to get something of good quality without breaking the bank ( Ideally less than $500). How much does quality (and options) improve if I go up to $1k? All I'm asking for is some help in pointing me in the right direction to get things started.
TIA.
What are the best standing desks under $250?
Right now, Flexispot is running what seems to me a pretty good deal. I can get a 48x30 E2 with a desktop for $180. Are there any better deals right now?
The limited budget means you can’t buy the most expensive desk out there, of course, the high-end products always are, but that doesn’t mean every time you take a look into an electric standing desk, it always has to be Uplift V2, Vari, Jarvis or Progressive, or other premium brands!
Indeed you can get more options than you think! And to not waste a single penny, best to get the one that can meet all of your requirements.
Flexispot E7 - best overall for a $500 budget, 355lb of weight capacity, 22.4-48.4". For taller people, you can pick the Pro version for 50.6" of max height
Flexispot E5 – even cheaper, but up to 287lb of weight capacity
APEX LITE DESK 71 – a super sit-stand desk with huge size
Eureka Gaming - for most gamers
VIVO – More options for large sizes of the tabletop
Vari Essential – Best Basic No Fuss Desk
Fezibo standing desk with double drawer
Apex Lumi – Small size & special glass standing desk
Does this mean that the best overall tag doesn’t have any bearing?
Not necessarily. A sit-stand desk may become popular for two reasons. One, it’s just hyped up due to intense and strategic advertising and marketing. And two, people have positive experiences from using the desk.
But it isn’t one size fits all, it has to meet your needs and wants on a desk. Some brands may fulfill the needs of the majority, hence their popularity. But you cannot say the same unless you have tried the desk yourself.
The key here is you have to be able to use the desk enough for you to tell if it can serve your needs. That’s the only way that you can say that it’s the best desk. Thus, the gold standard of standing desks should be the one that can give you the most value for your money. Even if it’s a premium desk, if you’re getting its worth, it’s real value for your money.
The same goes for an affordable entry-level desk. If it ticks all the boxes on your list, it’s the best one for you.
Hey guys, I have been sitting and working on my laptop at my home. I'm struggling with back pain from endless hours at my old desk. What recommendations have you found that truly deliver comfort and support?
Update - I found this review online (#1 Best Seller at the moment) it has everything I need in a standing desk.
I WFH and am looking to purchase my first sit/stand desk. I use a laptop and two 23" monitors, plus keyboard and mouse. Hoping to not have to spend more than $350-$400. Thank you!
UPDATED: Thanks for all the recommendations! After a lot of consideration, I decided to go with the Autonomous Desk 5 Pro*, keeping my budget around $300 during the black friday sale. It hasn’t disappointed me so far. The height adjustment is smooth, and most importantly, the desktop surface doesn’t cause any wrist pain during long hours of use*

Anyone have any decent size / quality standing desk recommendations that aren’t going to break the bank please?
So I'm looking for a standing desk under $500. I'm 5'7 and plan to purchase just the frame, as I already have a countertop.
I've come across a few brands but am getting the impression that almost every YouTube review is sponsored (sending to try counts for me), especially for the Flexi Spot. Reddit threads seem less biased but I have my skepticism with some of the posts.
In any case, I'm just after genuine recommendations and reviews for standing desks in this price range.
The desk will be placed on a carpet and I'm slightly concerned about excessive wobble. I don't plan to use the desk at maximum height and my monitor is on an arm attached to the desk. I have a heavy keyboard and the countertop is pretty heavy too, so I'm hoping this will help alleviate some inevitable wobble that will come with any standing desk.
I try and avoid buying twice and prefer to future proof if it means spending a bit more.
Would love to hear your recommendations!
I've seen quite a few different brands recommended on here, but I'm unsure where they place in terms of bottom vs mid vs top tier.
Reading various posts, it seems DeskHaus is certainly on the higher end. Then there are others like TOPSKY, Fully, Xdesk, Fezibo, and many others.
So I'm wondering, is there any consensus on one that is typically seen as the "best value"? How about "the best regardless of price"? Or "avoid at all costs"?
Hi, i was looking for a decent budget standing desk that people would say has the best quality at this range. Black legs with a darker desk color like Black/rustic brown preferred. I found a few options from here that all seem pretty similar: https://manirevs.com/best-standing-desk/#1
Claiks Electric Standing Desk - $110 @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ7GXM4M
FEZIBO Electric Standing Desk - $110 @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQWC6PVX
ErGear Height Adjustable Electric Standing Desk - $110 @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B41YH9B6
FLEXISPOT EN1 - $110 @ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BHPMYGK
Which of these has the best quality, or if there's another in this range? Thanks
The consequence of living in a technology-driven world such as ours is that we are forced to spend countless hours sitting at our desks.
The problem is that our bodies are not designed to sit for that long. Consequently, excessive sitting eventually leads to all sorts of complications. One of the most prevalent complications is lower back pain. In addition, those who sit for extended periods also experience ankle pain, leg pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain, elbow pain, and more. Weight gain is also another health risk that could develop as a result of too much sitting.
The good news, however, is that there is a solution for this suffering; a way to escape all the discomfort and use your computer as much as you like. A standing desk offers you a revolutionary way to work at your computer and maintain proper health at the same time.

How To Choose The Best Standing Desk in 2025
-
Consider Adjustment Speed
Adjustment speed depends on user preference. Most height-adjustable desks adjust fast enough, but some are quicker than others.
If speed matters to you, consider this before purchasing. It's especially important for those strict with time management, as reducing adjustment time frees up more time for work.
-
Consider Space Requirements And Measurements
Ensure the desk fits your space, as standing desks are taller and wider than regular desks. Take accurate measurements of both the desk and the area to avoid issues.
Next, measure yourself from head to toe, wearing the shoes you typically use at your desk. This ensures the sit-stand desk adjusts to the right height, preventing joint and muscle pain.
-
Consider Noise Implications
Height-adjustable desks use motors, which generate noise. Some are louder than others. Noise isn’t a big issue in private spaces, but in open areas, consider its impact on coworkers and customers. Fortunately, most desks don’t produce unbearable noise, making this a matter of preference.
-
Consider Weight Capacity
Weight capacity determines how many items your desk can hold. A low capacity limits essential accessories. Experts recommend at least 220 lbs, while 350-600 lbs is ideal for heavier setups.
A good number of stand-up desks are designed with plenty of capacity to accommodate your typical desktop items. Cheap options are usually designed for only 176lbs or smaller. That’s not a good option for gamers or people who are working from home
-
Consider The Adjustment Mechanism
There are three types of standing desk adjustment mechanisms: electric, crank, and pneumatic. And of the three, electric or pneumatic are usually the most recommended.
The problem with crank adjustments is that they require you to crank them up several times to achieve the best height.
I have been considering getting one for some years now due to neck and shoulder pain. Is it worth getting one now? If so, what are the best brands and models that aren't completely breaking the bank in your opinions?

Hey guys. I know there are a few older posts about this but I'm looking for something up to date, and I don't want to necro a bunch of threads.
I live in Canada, and am looking for a second standing desk. I bought a Fully for my main living room/gaming/entertainment area juuuuust before they got bought by Herman Miller and I love it. I wanted to get a second one for my office area, but, unfortunately, since they got absorbed Fully has basically no options, including "any colour other than bamboo". So I'm annoyed and don't have a go-to anymore.
I've been trying to do the research again, but a lot of info is out of date, and it's hard to consolidate everything in my head atm as I'm both a full-time student, and working a full-time job. So I'm just asking for recommendations and warnings. I'm currently leaning towards Effy (especially since they have a 20% discount atm), but I really want to get some experienced opinions before I pull the trigger.
Again, the big bit of important information in there was that I live in *Canada*. So Uplift, for e.g., is completely unfeasible as their shipping rates are baffling and ludicrous (even after the *supposed* "we'll pay what it would cost to ship it within the US"). And I say that as someone who professionally makes shipping labels for objects of varying size most work days.
Thanks
