Hi all,
Over the past few hours I've gone from knowing nothing about vacuums and wanting to buy a Shark or Dyson, to down the rabbit hole of wanting a Numatic HEN.100, Miele HX1, etc, and hating Shark lol. At this point my head is spinning and although I've looked at the subreddit recommended list, I'd greatly appreciate some further advice/discussion from you guys.
My wife is insistent on a cordless AND bagless stick vac that will perform pretty much as good as a corded can (if that exists?) under $1000 CAD. This would be our primary vacuum in a 700 sq ft apartment, with my shop vac subbing in for heavier tasks. 90% of the time it will be hardwood floors and porcelain tile, the remainder being low pile carpet. We will have pet hair.
I'm normally a BIFL kind of guy, willing to do maintenance and keep things working a long time, but it seems this specific category doesn't have any BIFL options at a sub $1000 CAD price, right? Am I best going for a decent ~$300 Hoover model and replacing it in 5 years, or should I be looking at Dyson / Miele / ____ that should hopefully last longer?
Lastly, if anyone has experience with Karcher sticks, or other under-the-radar brands, I would love to hear your thoughts on them.
Thank you very much in advance!
Hi,
I'm looking to buy a stick vacuum cleaner for my condo. We have thin flat carpet in the bedrooms and living room and hard wood floors in the remaining areas.
After some research, I found some good options and I'm considering these:
Dyson V15 Detect
Samsung Bespoke Jet
Shark Detect Pro
LG CordZero
