what are your go to free stock analysis websites that are accurate? When I go online to review a lesser known stock, I use whatever Google recommends, Tip ranks, simply wall Street, motley fool. You know all the big names that pay Google millions of $. But each different site has a different prediction that is all over the place. Some are strong buy but some are strong sell. Are there any other good free stock analysis websites that doesn't have to pay Google $millions to get noticed

I am an ignorant individual regarding learning about stocks and trading.

I go to CNBC to get an overview of the stock market, but some of it is behind a paywall. It seems all of Bloomberg is behind a paywall.

Is there a free site you can suggest to read news and opinions regarding why the markets behaved or are behaving or will behave as well as individual stocks?

Thanks to everyone that offers a helpful suggestion!

UPDATE: thanks everyone for your suggestions. I have read each post, and will continue to do so. I also am going to all the suggested websites and definitely learned about some that will help me thanks to your help. I don't use a word like "hero" very often, but all of you are HEROES!!!!

r/investingforbeginners on Reddit: I need help! what are some trusted stock websites to use?
February 14, 2026 -

Hi everyone! I'm a high school student and I have to write a 10 page stock report on (Eli Lilly) and I was wondering what are some good sources for getting key financial metrics, or the information to solve for those metrics? I've been using Yahoo!Finance, Full:Ratio, Tip Ranks and a few other websites. Are these sources okay or are there better ones that I could use? Also are there any basic free websites/videos that can teach the basics of the stock markets and investing? Thank you so much for your help!

r/ValueInvesting on Reddit: Free Stock Research Websites That Don't Suck
October 30, 2024 -

I don't usually post this kind of content, but I wanted to share with you the financial websites I use that have been helpful to me. Many of these sites overlap, providing similar information. I simply wanted to share the websites I've found and that have significantly assisted me in understanding certain stocks, performing valuations, comparing stocks with one another, and discovering new investment opportunities. These resources have been invaluable in enhancing my financial analysis skills, investment decision and learning process.

Fundamentals & Financials:

  • Quartr (quartr.com): Access investor relations materials, transcripts, presentations, and financial data. In general a great site for getting the complete picture. Adding to that, if you're a student you can ask for the premium account which includes AI transcripts, summaries and many more cool tools.

  • CapEdge (capedge.com): Deep dive into financial history with comprehensive data (10K, 8K). Perfect for spotting trends, understanding a company's financial health and for the Fillings inhouse comparison tool.

  • FullRatio (fullratio.com): Analyze financial reports with ease. This site breaks down complex data, making it easier to understand key ratios and metrics.

  • MarketScreener (marketscreener.com): Provides real-time quotes, charts, news, and financial data for a wide range of global markets. By clearing the cookies you can have unlimited stock search. (same as alphaspread.com)

Stock Screening & Market Data:

  • Yahoo Finance Screener (finance.yahoo.com/screener): A classic for a reason. Filter stocks based on a wide range of criteria, from market cap to dividend yield. Biggest stock collection so far!

  • Koyfin (koyfin.com): Combines powerful screening with in-depth company profiles, charts, and research reports. A solid all-in-one platform. The best tool if you want to compare each stock with the median, average or percentile of the total screener.

Charts & News:

  • MarketBeat (marketbeat.com): Offers analyst ratings, price targets, and a variety of charting tools. Excellent for incorporating expert opinions into your analysis. Very fast with news and earning reports (same as Investing.com)!

  • FinanceCharts (financecharts.com): Create customizable charts with technical indicators and drawing tools. Ideal for visualizing price patterns and trends. Completely free tool with an incredible number of key ratios, all possible to display in graphs.

Unique Insights:

  • Strike (strike.market): Explore unconventional data sources like website traffic, social media sentiment, and app downloads. This platform helps you identify emerging trends and hidden opportunities.

I'd love to hear about your experiences with free resources and how they've impacted your investing and learning. Please feel free to add additional sites or apps down in the comments and if you like you can check out more of my thoughts on fintech over at my blog: https://fintechmarketanalysis.blogspot.com.

Also tell me if you'd like a second part with similar free sites that provide famous financial key ratios and statistics.

Hi all, I'm newish to value investing and am looking for an analyst website to help me make stock picks. I've found 7 that seem promising: roic.ai, Value Line, CFRA, Morning Star, Moodys analytics, Zacks and Fact set. Since a lot of these aren't free it would be very helpful if someone could recommend one. My general strategy revolves around stocks with a high beta and good growth prospects / strong financial stability.

They are not always in sync.

Trying to make sense of the market right now and wondering how everyone is navigating through the madness. Do you just bury your head in TA or what other workflows are you sticking to for finding alpha? More interested in stuff that has genuinely helped your strategy, decision making, or just research in general?

Here are the ones I keep on rotation right now:

Finviz.Fast.  macro view. Heatmaps, insider trades, unusual volume.
Unusual Whales. Options flow, sweeps, dark pool prints.
Koyfin. Institutional grade macro + equities.
TradingView. Obvious one but still great for multi asset charts
Stocktwits.com: Great for spotting momentum early and catching message volume spikes before they hit mainstream.

Also playing with multichannel social listening and LLM keywords analysis workflows to identify volume surges across mentions. Too expensive set up to run at any level of scale for me but cool resource if you keep it focused to 3 or 5 tickers.

Relatively new to investing and have learned a lot the past three years. Some wins and some positions I wish I didn't have, but patiently waiting to climb my way out and then get out with minimal to no loss.

Receiving some $$$ in the near future and would like to be more disciplined and informed before taking positions in companies. I've been trying to build an analysis spreadsheet to look at fundamentals of stocks but then started thinking of signing up for TIKR, GuruFocus or ??. Looking for fundamental analysis and also possibly estimated intrinsic value from these websites.

Any recommendations from more experienced investors?

I am going to have some funds next month to start investing again after almost a decade removed from following the markets closely. What are good sources to use for research? I’m good with paying for a product, it doesn’t have to be free. For instance, I’d like to include in my portfolio European defense companies. What would be a good tool to perform that research?

Thank you in advance for not savaging me!
