Most of our outdoor weatherproof LED Lights last up to 50,000 hours (this can be up to 17 years) with warranties for replacements if the strip light fails prior to this time or the warranty terms. As long as you don’t fully submerge our quality weatherproof LED strip lights, they should last you up to their rated life or the warranty period.

Weatherproof LED Strips are suited for damp locations and exposure to elements. While they can withstand light contact with water, they should be placed in a location where they are mostly covered from exposure. Weatherproof light strips are great for anywhere that light contact with water may happen such as, covered porches, gazebos, under overhangs, and even in bathrooms and kitchens.

Weatherproof LED strip lights with an IP rating of IP64 provide protection against condensation and water sprays, but can’t be submerged in water. IP67-rated LED lights are considered more waterproof and can be submerged for short periods of time. You also need to be sure to use a connector that is at minimum, water resistant. This is to ensure your connections of strip lights and power supplies are secure and resilient to elements.
