I'm about to buy a new keyboard because I'm tired of the "memchanical" brand (yep, I've been using one for 3 years, and this is the first time I buy a REAL mechanical keyboard). I've read on many websites that the linear switches are the best for gaming, but which switch would YOU recommend for Fortnite? I am trying to choose between the Roccat Vulcan (Titan switches - tactile) and the Corsair Rapidfire keyboards (Cherry MX Speed - linear). Both have pros and cons, but I really want to increase my building and edit speed because I can clearly feel my keyboard is stopping me in that.

The type of switch won't play a big difference, but I recommend either red switches or brown switches. I originally had blues and when I switched to reds then went back to blues they were extremely "heavy." Reds and browns just feel much lighter. It all comes down to personal preference; it's almost like which pair of shoes feel most comfortable to YOU. You can always spend like $10 on a switch tester that has all the main switches on it.

Browns are a nice happy medium for Clicky and Quiet, they’re the same switches most pros use, (tfue symfhuny, cloakzy) but it really is just preference. You should order a switch tester and see how each switch is and how you like them.

What's the best mechanical switch for fortnite?

Everyone's different. I like the feedback of browns (tested copper without liking them), and I have friends that prefer red, silver, and blue. The only way to tell what you'll like is to test them out yourself. You can get a general idea by looking up in-depth reviews of the switches, but it's no replacement. If you go purely by lowest travel, there's a Steelseries keyboard with adjustment actuation points that goes as low as 0.4mm (cherry silvers are 1.2mm). Wouldn't recommend being that low as simply touching the key would be enough to register a keystroke. Silvers are linear switches with a low actuation point. If you like reds and want one that's slightly faster, go with silver. The biggest con is accidentally pressing the keys when you rest your fingers on them. One option is getting a keyboard with hot swappable switches, like the GMMK. If you ever want to change switches (or mix them), it'll be cheaper than buying a new keyboard. More on reddit.com

Best switches and keyboard for Fortnite?

I would use a speed switch. The lower the actuation distance, the faster you can hit a key and have it respond. Corsair has a decent line of speed switches which may be worth looking into
