You can pick any of her songs! I just want to know your top 10 favorite from her? For me mine would be.
Cardigan
Getaway Car
Out Of The Woods
Now That We Don't Talk
Timeless
All Too Well (10 Min Version)
Paper Rings
Death By A Thousand Cuts
Midnight Rain
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart
This was a lot more harder than I thought it would be 😅 but had fun with it!
What do you think Taylor’s all time best songs are? And not just your favorite but what is objectively her best song by talent display, general appeal, ect.
I think All Too Well is one of them, a lot of people I know that aren’t swifties really connect to it, it’s a great example of her beautiful and creative writing abilities, and her voice.
I also think a lot of folklore really shines a light on what she’s best at.
Reading through comments and I agree with almost everyone with every song, it’s too hard. She has so much talent that shines in so many ways in different eras and songs. I think I saw alot of all too well, yoyok, ivy, long live. Definitely some of the fans all time favorites. I’d also add that she has such a diverse discography that it’s hard to choose out of rock, folk, pop, Indy ect she has greatness in all categories.

So not your personal favourite but what you think are objectively her best songs.
If I had a top 3 I would have to give Blank Space a spot. WCS is definitely one of her best tracks, along with Cruel Summer
REMEMBER, we are amongst fellow fans!! Let’s not scrap.
That being said…. I propose “My Tears Richochet”, “The Albatross”, “Hey Stephen”, “Maroon”, “Blank Space”, and more to be among her best, imo. My controversial opinion is that I think a couple songs on TTPD are a bit overwritten. Any and all good faith arguments against this are welcome. 💖
What are your best Taylor Swift songs
Hi! Just joined and I thought a fun little question would be a good way to get to know everyone :)
My current top 5:
My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
Karma
How You Get The Girl
Anti-Hero
Bejeweled
What according to you, are the top 3 Taylor Swift songs which are a perfect blend of:
Emotionally hard hitting and poetic lyrics
Apt production for those lyrics
An unforgettable melody that you never get bored of no matter how many times you’ve listened to it over the years
Represent the depth of her talent to you.
I’ll go first. Mine are State of Grace, Loml and You are in Love.
I know it’s super hard but I still think all of us have a number of songs we’ve been obsessed with. The ones we go back to over and over again….
I’ll start:
All too well- nothing can ever top this song. How she writes it like a story from beginning to end, while describing the reasons they’ve broken up and really describing everything so openly, is so detailed and complex and amazing. Plus the production is addictive and you feel it in your bones.
Daylight- I loveeeeeee those dreamy, ethereal synths and her beautiful vocals. Nobody talks about how she’s evolved vocally. I listen to this 1 hour in a row without getting tired of it.
You’re on your own kid-I’ve been single for my whole life, so I don’t have any romantic experience. So when Taylor writes about being excluded, alone, betrayed and backstabbed by friends- I totally relate. And the music is just phenomenal.
Tis the damn season- perfect melodies, perfect instruments, perfect lyrics and metaphors. It’s so wintry and yearning I’m obsessed.
Maroon or question I don’t know what to choose! Midnights is honestly one of her best ever albums. (But Red is number one, evermore number 2 for me)
Honorable mentions: style, death by a thousand cuts, dancing with our hands tied (it was my top 3 of Taylor when it came out), this is me trying, call it what you want, right where you left me, ivy, cruel summer
not necessarily your favorite, but the one that you think is truly the best on her discography.
for me, it’s tolerate it. it’s on my top 13 taylor songs but isn’t my absolute favorite, but i truly think it is her BEST song. the lyricism, the simple instrumentals, the use of 5/4. amazing
Basically what the title says. I'm thinking of making a playlist with lots of favorites that also includes others besides the usual ones like Blank Space and Love Story, which are also absolutely amazing. I absolutely love how collaborative Swifties are so I can't wait to see all of your opinions soon! 🤩
I asked this question before Midnights came out and I would like to ask it again now that we are a month past. I am really curious to see how much the lists have changed!
Here was the prior question post — https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/comments/xz62lj/top_10_taylor_songs_with_their_album_and_your/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf and the results! — https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/comments/y38naz/after_some_extensive_research_i_have_determined/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Recently came across this article from Rolling Stone and decided to create the list into a slide show for Reddit!
The article can be found here and it was written by Rob Sheffield.
Personal take: starting off the list with “Bad Blood” was a HUGE swing and caught my attention. I wasn’t surprised with #1 but pleasantly surprised to see “Clean” high up in the ranks.
How would you rank your favourite song from each of her 11 albums against one another?
My list is:
11. Should've said no
10. The Story of Us
9. All Too Well (10minutes)
8. Mr Perfectly Fine
7. London Boy
6. Ready for it...
5. Karma
4. Blank Space
3. Exile
2. Clara Bow
-
Ivy
I struggled a bit to put these in order of what I like most, but somehow I've managed. Of course it's entirely possible to have slight variations if I made this list on another day.
Let me know what you think of my list and how you'd rank your favourite songs from all albums against one another.
Doesn’t even need to be your favourite song. Just her best work with the most profound and poetic lyrics?
The most upvoted comment will have their song added onto the playlist.
Hey everyone!I've noticed some of my friends experiencing a bit of FOMO because they've never really listened to Taylor Swift's music. As the resident Swiftie in my group, I've been tasked with introducing her incredible discography to them. But here's the catch: they know absolutely nothing about Taylor Swift. We're talking zero knowledge about her music eras, her famous exes, or her knack for hiding Easter eggs in her songs.
Given this unique challenge, if you could only recommend five Taylor Swift songs to someone completely unfamiliar with her work, which ones would you choose? I'm looking for a mix that showcases her versatility as an artist and gives a good taste of what makes her music so special.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Idk if it's just me but all to well is awful as an intro song to Taylor. If this is someone who doesn't know much about her, they'll need the background for the song to really appreciate it for what it is. Show them that after they become new fans
Too many good songs, too many albums. Where do I begin? Here are some examples of perfect/faultless songs in Taylor’s extensive discography spread through different albums and genres:

I saw this game and I think it’s fun. Let’s all give our top 5 songs and let other swifties tell you who we are.
These are mine:
-
The bolter
-
My tears ricochet
-
Tolerate it
-
The archer
-
Lover
Give me like your top 3-5 songs EVER, and then one song that you just don’t get, don’t like, or don’t get the hype. There are definitely songs where I’m like how do people like this? Like Robin is one for me or I Forgot That You Existed, just does nothing for me. Even Lover as a song I don’t love.
Whereas my favourites are (no order)
Anti hero The Smallest Man WEL But Daddy I Love Him Style OG Guilty as Sin? My top song 2024 loml The prophecy (I think I’ll always be alone) The bolter (and this is why) This is me trying (I feel like this song is like the ugliest part of Taylor? And it’s so brave that she put it in a song, and I deeply relate to it) Sparks fly Love story Evermore Cowboy like me Seven (I sob crying) Long live Enchanted Karma Bejeweled I Knew You Were Trouble ATW (10 min) Tolerate it Ivy Marjorie My tears ricochet The 1 Cardigan Exile Begin again You are in love Out of the woods Is it over now Now that we don’t talk
To name a FEW lol. Very interested!
I really wanna hear!
So many from TTPD became my favorites that I had to bump out some of my previous faves. Was really hard to do but here are my top 13, in no particular order:
Peace
Maroon
The Tortured Poets Department
Fortnight
Guilty as Sin
Dress
August
The 1
Happiness
Lover
Delicate
Gorgeous
Dancing with our hands tied
Down bad
