Finally deciding to get into Minecraft after I’ve had my first gaming PC for over a year now. There’s SO MANY resource packs on Curseforge it’s hard to cycle through all of them and find the texture packs for everything.
Any recommendations for packs you’ve used and how they look? Correct me if I’m wrong but since I’m using a Forge modded version of Minecraft through Curseforge. I can’t use any resource packs that are outside of Curseforge for this version correct?

Actually you can use resource packs from anywhere with forge, curseforge just makes it easier to install them. For texture packs I'd recommend Faithful 32x if you want vanilla vibes but higher res, or Sphax PureBDcraft if you're feeling the cartoony look. Stay away from anything over 128x unless you got a beast PC cause those will tank your fps hard

I'm looking for more texture packs to use on my mod packs but the problem is that most of top texture packs on the Curse Forge app are only small changes or data packs. The type of texture packs that I'm looking for is like the Ashen texture pack, or the Pixelmon one. Or like the texture packs we had in old Xbox Minecraft. Those types that change the visuality of the whole game are the ones that I want because I'm tired of seeing the same old basic Minecraft even with shaders. Also I assume this is obvious but just in case, I do want to be able to find it in the curse forge app to just easily download.
