I bought to track luggage when travelling and all I had was it's nearby when searching for it, but it was in luggage going to the plane and I was wandering around the airport. I live an a farm in a very remote area of Chile. I'd like some trackers for my keys, tools and wallet. I have a Pixel,but most people have Samsung. No one here has ever heard of a Tile or Chipolo so they won't have the app on their phones. Is there a device the universally works with all android phones? Or am I better off getting a cheap $200 Samsung phone and using Samsung trackers if something ever gets lost?

As of now, yes. Samsung trackers perform similarly to apple Airtag. Newer devices released that work with Google's find my network are shit because Google's software is shit. Until they fix that, you should wait or go samsung.

Googles find my device network MIGHT become usable IF they (i) fully roll it out and (ii ) change the default from "high traffic areas". In which case, Pebblebee or the new Moto Tags might well work. If a lot of people have Samsung then maybe thats an option but in most places only a minority of Android users do.

I am looking for a good FMD compatible trackee which is cheap enough to do the job. I found a pack of 4 Moto Tags for £95 on Amazon. I am willing to order that. But are they good?

MotoTags party trick is UWB, but if your phone doesn't support it then that's just an extra cost. Pebblebee has the loudest ringer, MiLi is the best value if it's just Bluetooth tracking you need
