I couldn’t find this question being asked by someone from the U.K. so wanted some advice. We have a Vax vacuum cleaner for pet hair but it’s not great and it’s literally falling apart
I’ve heard good things about Miele, Shark and Dyson but have no idea what’s best as I don’t want to waste money on another bad hoover.
Any recommendations please? Budget, I’m quite easy, but nothing crazy like £900. We’re in a small 2 bed flat so ideally something not too big and clunky. Thank you!
Edit: I don’t have a pet 🤣 but assumed the pet hair one would be extra strong so went for that one

A Sebo Felix/Dart is probably the best priced option for carpet with pets. You'd want a bagged vacuum with a motorized brushroll to deal with it Shark and Dyson are bad. European Mieles don't have a motorized brushroll If you refer canisters, Sebo K3/E3/D4 models are great too If you only had carpets and no pets, a turbo-brush (air driven brushroll) for your carpets might work, but it's likely to lead to less than optimal outcomes

Our home is mostly hardwood and tile, with a couple of large, low-pile area rugs. We have no pets nor children, but it does get dusty. My husband loves sesame bagels too, LOL. Which vacuum would work best for us? We'd like to spend as little as we can get away with. Unfortunately not that many dealers near us (we live an hour from Jacksonville, FL). the Miele Classic C1 is probably the best if you want top-tier cleaning power with a super durable build. Handles hardwood like a dream and has adjustable suction for rugs. If you need something cheaper but still solid, the Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet is a great option too. I was tired of vacuums that either scratched my floors or didn’t clean my rugs properly, but this post helped me find the right one. Definitely worth a read!
