Other than Main Street area, where are the good (but not overpriced) vintage furniture stores around Greater Vancouver (or maybe even Vancouver Island)?
Specifically, I’m looking for a vintage mid-century home bar counter (the kind you stand behind and serve across, not a cabinet against a wall). I’ll try to post a link with some sample pics of what I have in mind.

If you want vintage MCM, it's not cheap anywhere, including here. Was chatting with the shop on Main St. a few years ago and they said dealers in NY were snapping up pieces and it was driving up the prices everywhere. Watch Craigslist/Marketplace in North and West Van. The furniture pieces that get put online in those two places tends to be way higher quality than anywhere else in the city.

1911 glazed terracotta architectural medallion from the Vancouver Birks building demolished in 1975.An opportunity to own a rare artifact art piece to integrate in any environment. The Birks Building in Vancouver, also known as the Henry Birks & Sons Building, was designed by the architectural firm Somerville and Putnam. It was built between 1912 and 1913 at 718 Granville Street. The building was 11 stories tall and served as a commercial building, including retail space for Birks jewellers and offices.
