If money’s no object, which carpet brand/model would you get for bedrooms? I hear wool is nice, but worried about staining (we have kids). So leaning towards synthetic. Looking for something plush / comfortable. We saw Shaw Cashmere Classic IV; it seems pretty nice. $12.29/sq ft.

Anything else comparable we should consider?

I'm finally going to change the flooring in my house after a long time with the same wall to wall carpet. I know that hardwood is "in" and I do like the look of it, but.... I'm just not sure if that's the way to go. We spend a lot of time on the floor (playing games, doing puzzles, just laying around, etc) and hardwood obviously isn't the most comfortable for that. I know I could do throw rugs, but that's an additional expense plus th added stress of trying to place them right and pick the right colors. I think I'm leaning towards getting wall to wall carpet again, but is it going to make my home look super dated? Big decisions like this are so stressful - it's not like buying a throw pillow that you can easily replace for $20 if you don't like it. Sigh....
