What's your favorite weather and radar app ?
I'm looking for a good, reliable weather app that goes a little more into detail than the basic info (like where's the rain), maybe throw in some velocities on the map too. I've heard RadarScope was good but I don't want to pay $100 for a weather app. Any help is appreciated.

The weather channel site has ads all over the screen ( I don’t mind some ads but that site is difficult). Accuweather site is super glitchy. Apps all seem to want a subscription. Any kind person have a recommendation? TIA
I’ve traditionally used The Weather Channel, but it seems like their forecasting accuracy has gotten worse and worse over the last year or so. I don’t know if it’s an app issue or just that weather has gotten more unpredictable, but it seems like it’s rarely right with respect to temperature or precipitation these days.
For context, I live in Southern California
Forecast Advisor has NWS as the most accurate for November and The Weather Channel as the most accurate for last year.
I have a paid subscription with the Carrot and Weather Channel and am considering Hello Weather, but none of them offer the Weather channel (except the official app) or I am looking for an fairly accurate app with those two sources that have decent detailed widgets because that’s how I mostly check the weather.
Any suggestions?
What's a good android app for radar that includes velocity radar? Preferably free but I'll spend money as long as there's no subscription
What is everyone’s recommendation for a good weather/radar app. The Weather Channel app has completely lost me with their constant pop-up ads and their terrible forecasting. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Anyone have any recommendations for when precise radar, precipitation, and temp info are needed? RadarScope looks pretty good but is $10. Would rather pay something for a quality app though. Gaia provides some info but I'm not sure how accurate it is minute to minute.
Me and my friend are trying to find a good free radar app/website for Android, any suggestions?
Hi guys, I'm not a storm chaser or meteorologist, but i want to get a radar app to better understand what weather i might experience around me. are there any radar apps that are a bit simpler in appearance and not so cluttered, while still showing storms, lightning, maybe a future forecast?
I've downloaded radarscope and learned a bit about reflectivity and velocity, but not the 15+ other products it has. is it worth spending the time to learn these apps or is there something simpler I could get?
Suggest me a weather app with beautiful ui & also has beautiful widgets.? (If the weather app takes its data from google weather it's even better)
Can someone recommend me the best weather app for my android phone and has good widgets and it's always up to date and reliable?
I’m new to this subreddit, can someone point me to a reliable, preferably free radar app to use? I heard of radar scope but it cost $10. Thanks in advance.
I need a weather app that is THE MOST accurate, and most coverage for android. Lmk your suggestions. Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I've been using AccuWeather for several years. However, I feel like it's become a bit outdated. I'm wondering if there might be a better option available in 2025 ?
What app do you use, and why?
Weird “cross-post” but my day job and night job are very weather critical.
I have some favorite apps I use to attempt to predict the unpredictable but am curious what apps others are using!
In everyone's opinion which is the most accurate and reliable weather app for the U.K. Im must had tried 100s but none cut it for me
I'm trying to find the best weather app, I can't afford to pay very much & of course I'd like to find a free one that offers radar as well as one that shows the current temperature up in the notification area
I've been using weather timeline, but I need something for looking at the radar in addition. What is something that works well?
I like Weather Underground the best. Radar is great and has a lot of options once you start playing with the layers (weather alert areas, storm tracks, crowd reports, weather stations, etc.).
I'm friends with a bunch of meteorologists and they all recommend radarscope. It isn't cheap though so that could be prohibitive.
