Then I lost the USB-C charging cable, and no off the shelf USB-C cable I tried would work to charge them. Since I was already fed up with the microphone and flaky Bluetooth, I didn’t go ordering a replacement cable from Sennheiser. I got a pair of Apple AirPods Pro 2, and the noise cancellation and sound quality is just as good. Surprisingly, I can comfortably wear them for hours at a time, and the microphone is really good so I can use them for work as well. Hi all, I’ve been WFH for over 2 years now and pretty soon am going to be spending a lot more time working from coffee shops. I’m in tech sales and have a few calls per day with prospects. I need a good pair of headphones that will block out any background noise so when I’m speaking on the call, the prospect only hears me and not coffee shop music/chatter etc.
Currently use AirPods Pro but the mic definitely does not block a ton of background noise. Any recommendations?

Hey guys,
My AirPods Max, which served me well for 3 years and a half, spluttered out the past month. I’m not willing to pay the $400 Apple demanded for a replacement, so I’m issuing the following request:
What’s a good pair of noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones for a user deeply integrated with the Apple ecosystem (Mac, iPhone) without having to buy another pair of AirPods Maxes?
Sennheiser, Sony, etc... please suggest headphones within the realm of $300-$500, although I can spend a bit more if needed.

i think it comes down to you either buy sony xm5s or bose ultras with the ultras having the better anc.... sennheiser momentum 4s another good choice and prob the most asthetically pleasing out the 3....the white n gold or black n copper are really nice iv personally had the sony xm5s and they re very good with bluetooth but get muddied (and a lot louder) with the 3.5mm jack although its prob understandable given the volume increase at the moment i own 2 pair of bluetooth headphones .......i own the airpod max which i didnt like at 1st (apples lack of eq is unforgivable given its price) although i did get them how i like them by playing them through a hiby r4 and using wavelet for a few extra decibals and more bass the 2nd pair...and 1s id recommend if you can get them on sale or 2nd hand (they re £700 brand new) is the focal bathy they re crisp n clear with good bass and outperform all the headphones iv mentioned quite noticebly...many people say they come alive when you put them in dac mode and use a usbc to usbc cable but honestly they re great with bluetooth and their own 5 band equaliser app so will be fine on iphone just 1 word of caution make sure you get them from a returnable source if you buy them as i loved the bathys so much i bought them in black too (i bought the dune 1st) but they just didnt sound the same when i got them as the 1st pair despite the music source and EQ being the exact same so i returned the black 1s something else to consider is if memory serves me right only the senn mom4s and xm5s are passive....which means once the battery goes you can still use them via a cable to phone or a dap like the hiby r4 the others will need either battery replaced are a lot of recharging eventually but if you only use a few hours a day AI guestimated they d still last up to 10 years lastly id just say all the headphones i mention are bloody good headphones you d prob be pleased with any of them....you just end up chasing small gains and paying more eventually buy what you can comfortably afford

I enjoyed the airpods pro for a long time but suffer from ear infections (not specific to airpods) and decided to give up on in-ear monitors all together. My first thought was Airpods Max, but I really couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money without looking around a bit especially since there are never any discounts. I ended up with the Sony WH-100XM5 noise cancelling bluetooth headphones. They sound really good and there is an iOS app that helps with integration and setup. They probably aren't as seamless as an Apple product (separate app instead of settings) and I don't think they are recognized by Apple Music for spatial (I could be wrong, I switched to Tidal a couple of years ago) but once set up I rarely have to touch the settings, I just use them without thinking about it. I also needed noise cancelling for woodworking machines and they work great for that as well. No regrets and on Black Friday I was able to get them for less than $200. Even without that they are regularly discounted. I can't compare to Bose or Sennheiser as I don't have first hand experience but I have no complaints about the Sonys. Edit: to add. I did find the earpads to get sweaty sometimes. I purchased some "cooling gel" replacements (lots of options for these headphones) that actually are designed to be moistened so evaporation cools you. I don't do that but the softer material (vs the OEM vinyl) is much more comfortable and I don't think twice about it anymore.
