I just got back into Fort this season, the rust was real! Anyway, I finally jumped on the double movement train last night and wow I didn't realize what I was missing.
What do you y'all use for your double movement settings?
Strafe angle %?
Enable single key strafing %?
Thank you!
I recently got my Wooting 60He and love it so far. I was wondering if Wooting Software's Double Movement has any advantages over the in-game Double Movement settings? Wooting has also recently added the 360° Movement. What settings do the pros use?
What are the best wooting one double movement settings/ what do you think are the best wooting one double movement settings.
I heard that Jerian said that a lot of prost are using 62%.
My setiings are:
First of all, do most pros even use the new in-game double movement? Or are they still use Wooting/Keys2X?
If they are using Epic’s double movement, what values are they using? The default settings or something else?
so i still havent got double movement and i was wondering if any one can link a video as to how to use it and whether i should use wooting or keys2x
Hey guys, I have a Wooting 60HE and I’m having some issues with Fortnite and the Double Movement App. Lets start with my settings:
In the Wootility App
I have Rapid Trigger ON all keys
I have Continuous Rapid Trigger ON
I have a 0.7 actuation point on WASD
I have Tachyon mode ON
Key mapping is STOCK
Advance key mapping is STOCK
I have NO gamepad inputs mapped to the keyboard
Enable Keyboard Keys is ON
Gamepad mapping override OFF
Enable angle adjustment is OFF
In Fortnite
I have WASD unbound in keybinds
I have “lock input method to mouse” ON
I have “ignore gamepad input” OFF
In Wooting Double Movement
All binds and settings are STOCK
It recognizes my 60HE
I have 360 movement ON, with the green dot on the bottom and it works while testing it in the app.
The problems
1 - Wooting Double Movement works fine for one game: Lets say I turn on my PC with a fresh startup. I hit “run as administrator” on Wooting Double Movement and leave it open. I open Fortnite and go in game. It works fine for one game, but if I go back to the lobby, check on another app by tabbing out of fullscreen, or even during a loading screen from match to match, it’ll break my wooting double movement. In game I won’t be able to move and I’ll just stutter around like im hitting 100 movement buttons at once. If I quit wooting in the task manager, quit Fortnite, and go back on, it’ll still do it. Only way to fix it is a full restart and then it’ll work again for one game and one game only. It also crashes my game in-between matches.
2 - Im seeing controller and keyboard inputs: In Fortnite on the menu, if I hit WASD, im seeing controller inputs and keyboard inputs. Ive also seen in-game where my inventory shows controller icons, Ive tried the fix for this. Opening and closing my inventory doesn’t fix it. Pressing escape twice doesn’t fix it.
Solutions ive tried I tried the player slot 1 error to no avail. In the Wooting App it shows me as player slot 1 (green square 1 under angle adjustment in gamepad response) - but, on GamePad tester website, it shows no one in Player 1, and me in Player 2.. is this the issue?
Ive deleted all controllers from device manager. Ive tried multiple re-installs, game re-installs, and keyboard resets.
I also have a few questions
1 - Is Wooting Double Movement better than the in-game double movement? Especially with a 60HE and the 360 movement option in Wooting DM? It felt way better than the in-game double movement to me but it keeps breaking as described above
2 - If I can’t fix my wooting double movement app, should I map Left Stick inputs to WASD in Wootility for Fortnite’s built in double movement? Or leave it mapped to WASD keyboard keys in Wootility?
3 - If I play Forza or Rocket League with a real Xbox controller, will that break compatibility with Wooting Double Movement and my 60HE in Fortnite?
4 - When I start Rocket League, I have to unplug my keyboard for it to recognize my Xbox controller.. is there a workaround for this?
I also noticed something about issues with AMD systems so here’s my PC specs if that matters:
MSI B550 Tomahawk Max WiFi
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti
32GB DDR4 3600
1TB NVME M.2
750w PSU
Thanks
What do you think is the more optimal double movement % on wooting? 62 or all out 100?
54
Honestly the Wooting advice about 62 is well-intentioned but IMO, misguided.
If you have any muscle memory for rolling your fingers around WASD keys, rather than just going straight from WA to WD, then you don't need to worry about "losing momentum".
i.e. WA -> W -> WD -- no momentum lost
Second way to avoid the problem completely is to keep WA and WD as "narrow" angles, similar to the defaults, then to use W and D alone as your wide strafes (widest possible angles).
This also means you don't have to relearn your regular building movement, sidejumps etc, but get extra capability to fully wrap sideways around walls etc. You can't do that with Wooting, but you can with keys2x: https://postimg.cc/kD87yzDd
I’ve tried several times to use wooting with the default setting and idk I just feel like it throws my aim off so much. Building is definitely better and edits are nice but the damage I deal with shotguns is consistently lower than normal for me and my AR hip fire aim is non existent.
I play 800dpi 6.9% x&y
If you use double movement tell me why and what your settings are
If you tried to use it and went back to traditional movement what was your reasoning?
Hey,
So I recently found out about a new Double Movement program from Wooting themselves, linked here: https://wooting.io/double-movement
I know that the Wooting keyboards are better for double movement because you can "control how much double movement" you want by pressing the keys harder, etc. This allows for more flexibility with your double movement, which is not something you can do with programs such as Keys2X.
With this new Wooting software, does anyone know if it functions the same as the Wooting Keyboard? Does the software allow for "adjustable double movement" or is it "no double movement/extreme double movement" like Keys2X?
I am about to buy a new keyboard and I am really want to go for Wooting 60HE, but I would like to know if the keyboard still comes with the double movement integrated in the software, and do I need to turn off double movement in game (Fortnite) and only use from the keyboard?
Thank you!
My experience from trying all 4 options, actual Wooting keyboard, keys2x, reWASD and now Wooting software:
- reWASD is the worst of them all, noticeable input delay. Also not free. Wouldn't recommend.
- Keys2x and Wooting software feel the same in terms of input delay. Keys2x has options to configure the angle to your liking, but at the end I ended up using a steep angle very similar to the Wooting software anyway, so that didn't really matter. Overall it's a wash between them, keys2x gives options you probably won't need, but Wooting software is easier to use and you can still type with WASD.
- Wooting keyboard is still better than the other options, because you can move as far as you want, depending on how deep you press the button. This is more flexible, but also takes more time getting used to. It's not a big advantage over the software solutions and objectively not worth buying another keyboard for, but if you want to buy a keyboard anyway or don't care about the cost, it's a thumbs up. I've seen quite a few people using the Wooting with fixed angles, e.g. always going full tilt, which would be a waste IMO. If you want to do that, just use software.
Although Wooting claims that their keyboards still have lower input delay than software solutions including their own, I couldn't notice a difference. The only thing noticeably slower than the rest is reWASD.
What I like about the Wooting keyboard is that it doesn't require software running in the background. You can configure it in their Wootility and save everything on the keyboard itself, you can even uninstall the software afterwards or just plug the keyboard into a different PC and it works. Also you can seamlessly and without any issues switch between regular keyboard mode and analog mode with a single button, the keyboard just instantly switches the inputs sent to the PC.
You need both custom diagonals in game and on Keys2Xinput. Install keys2x as normal but make sure you don't unbind wasd as it says in the instructions. basically just set up custom diagonals with these settings in game:
Diagonal: 59
Strafe: 72
Now set up keys2x with 59.99 diagonal up and strafe at 89.35 (didn't try the exact cutoff point but its very close to 90).
Now you should move full speed when strafing and its pretty close to 90 degrees too.
Hello all so I have installed the Wooting Double Movement App and it’s been working yesterday the whole day. Today I started fortnite and I can’t move in game( I haven’t changed any settings). I read a lot and saw people solving the problem with opening the App as admin but this doesn’t work for me. Any ideas how to fix ? :)
