Outdoor cushions do seem to be ridiculously expensive! I just recover a lot of my cushions myself. My best project cost-wise was when I found a huge outdoor furniture cover at Ikea in the clearance bin for $9; I carefully took it apart at the seams, cut it to fit the 4 cushions I needed, and because I unfortunately don’t sew, used my hot glue gun instead. Turned out great and the fabric is higher quality than many replacement cushions I’ve seen for too much money. I’ve also just bought upholstery fabric by the yard and cushion foam at Joann or Hobby Lobby and it’s still much cheaper. More on reddit.com
