I think this is a pretty complex issue depending on what your situation is. My first thought is like you said, honor them. You have a certain responsibility during seasons of life to take care of them (1 Tim. 5:4, 8). But sometimes I think we have to remember who it is we are trying to serve. Matthew 10:37-39. We can’t love anyone more than God or put them above our service to God. And of course, if they’re negatively influencing you, that’s a whole other issue. More on reddit.com
