r/centrist on Reddit: ‘No Kings’ Was Biggest Protest in U.S. History
June 16, 2025 - I imagine it would be a pretty depressing number but I could also see it being the case that people who made it to a protest are pretty high propensity and more politically engaged on average ... I’d imagine that very few people who bothered to protest didn’t bother to vote. ... I disagree. Don't underestimate the power of wanting to hang out with large groups of like minded people on a nice spring day.

3 weeks ago - When Carmen Perez-Jordan was first asked to organize a national protest for women’s rights, following Donald Trump’s first presidential election win, she did not anticipate that it would become the largest single-day protest in American history. On 21 January 2017, more than 500,000 protesters took to the streets of Washington DC, and as many as 4 million participated in affiliated demonstrations nationwide. Looking back, Perez-Jordan says the Women’s March engaged millions of people in activism for the first time, inspired other movements like #MeToo and pushed people to see women’s issues beyond reproductive rights. “It was unquestionably impactful,” Perez-Jordan said.

r/Political_Revolution on Reddit: Yesterday broke the record for the largest single day protest in US history - April 19th let's break it again
January 7, 2025 -

With estimates of over 5 million people participating in yesterday's Hands-Off protest that tops the previous record of a single day, multi-location protest held by the 2017 Woman's March after Trump's first inauguration, which had around 4 million people.

This was a huge victory, but it has to be sustained and it has to be even bigger! April 19th is the next Nationwide protest. If everybody that protested yesterday brought one new person with them in 2 weeks, we will almost be at the 3.5% of the population needed to roll back the tyranny of this administration.
