I was getting same error message on my Maximus V Gene with Cooler Master 212 Plus CPU Cooler.
This error message is diplayed when CPU fan RPM is below specified limit. For my motherboard, specified low limit was 600 RMP and CM 212 Plus Cooler fan was running at 500-550RPM.
If CPU temperature is ok, then you need not to worry. If you want to turn of this error message, then goto:
BIOS -> Monitor -> Fan Speed Monitor
Here, you can see all fans connected to your system are being monitored. You now need to select CPU fan. Two options will popup - Monitor and Ignore. Select Ignore.
Error message will not be shown thereafter.

Double check that the CPU fan is connected to the CPU fan header on your motherboard. The manual should have a layout of the various fan connectors. I'm guessing you have the CPU fan plugged into a case header. This would allow the CPU fan to work but the motherboard would report an error.
Hello everyone,
My CPU fan doesn't spin up fast enough, resulting in an annoying error message at every boot, for which I have to press F1 to continue.
This is a problem with the fan model I'm using, because it's brand new. I tried multiple and I read people online having the same problem. So I cannot change anything about that. Everything is fine once the system booted: The CPU fan is just a little slow to start.
So in the BIOS there's the option the set the min amount of RPM on which the warning on boot up is triggered. Unfortunately it doesn't go lower than 200 RPM, otherwise I'd have set it to 100 RPM which would solve the problem, but the option isn't there. It's an Asus M5A78L-M LE AM3+ motherboard.
So the only way to get rid of this error message is by disabling the CPU fan check in the BIOS completely.
I was wondering: Is it dangerous to disable this check in the BIOS to get rid of the error message? What will happen when I turn on the PC when the CPU fan doesn't spin at all one day? Will it damage my CPU, or are there other safety measures in place?
