Which BIOS options are recommended for Windows 10?
Fast Boot is not same as Fast Startup. It just bypasses some power on tests. Minimal gain for SSD. Select Windows 8 for secure boot. This reduces risk of malware getting control of pc. Does not matter you are using Windows 10 as secure boot is same (bios obviously predates Winfows 10) Re. UEFI, most pcs either boot from UEFI or legacy bios and boot drive needs to be setup as gpt for UEFI or mbr for legacy bios and they will not boot if crossmatched. Some pcs are clever enough to automatically boot in right mode depending on how hard drive is setup, as your pc seems to be. No real plus in setting it to UEFI only. So recommend: Fast Boot, Secure boot (W8), UEFI+legacy bios. More on reddit.com

How can I enter BIOS settings, while my system boots so fast I'm not even able to press anything?
BIOS is NOT loaded from your SSD. It is on the a chip on the motherboard called CMOS. It sounds like you are possibly not hitting the correct key, or maybe just try holding it down. I've come across systems where the bios key is del, f1, and a few others. More on reddit.com

Additional Tip: If you miss the timing and Windows starts loading, simply restart the system and try again. In Windows 10 and 11, you can access the BIOS directly from the Settings menu.

Hi R. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 years Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

It depends on the PC or motherboard brand. See the list here to find the key given for your brand to press as you power on the PC:

https://www.mydigitallife.net/comprehensive-lis.... The timing is very important so you may have to try several times to get it right.

If this doesn't work and you have a UEFI BIOS, then try this method:

http://www.isunshare.com/windows-password/four-...

If these fail then the next option is to Update the BIOS/UEFI firmware from the PC maker's Support Downloads web page to see if that forces it to work, and if not reset the CMOS as shown here:

https://www.maketecheasier.com/how-to-reset-cmo...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I resolved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

What computer?

.

When you startup and it gets to the computer makers logo there is usually an indication of how to get to the BIOS.  Many times this is shown and there is not enough time to react so you need to shut down and restart since some need to be acted on when the logo comes on.
