Are There Black Friday Deals On Kitchen Appliances?
Is Black Friday A Good Time To Buy Appliances?
Are Appliances Cheaper On Labor Day Or Black Friday?
We are closing on a house in December and unfortunately it needs all updated appliances. Sooo what are you using to track the cheapest deals? I refuse to walk into every store on Friday. TIA
UPDATE: Here's what I found so far this week, will try to update if there's more to come:
Best Black Friday washer and dryer deals:
$1,400 off Samsung washer dryer sets (Samsung.com)
$260 off washer and dryer sets (Walmart.com)
$1,300 off LG washer-dryer combos (LG.com)
33% off Electrolux washer and dryer unit (Electrolux.com)
50% off washers and dryers (BestBuy.com)
Appliance stores push sets hard saying they're designed to work together but that sounds like BS to get you to spend more. I could get a really good washer and pair it with a cheaper dryer since dryers are pretty simple, or mix brands entirely if the specs are better. The set deals look good on paper like 1500 for both but then you realize you're getting mid tier models when you could spend the same money on a better washer and basic dryer separately. Samsung and LG sets have all the fancy features but reliability is questionable, Maytag and Whirlpool are more boring but supposedly last longer.
Do matching washer and dryer sets actually perform better together or is it just aesthetic?
Turns out, my kitchen appliances are much older than I thought and my oven and dish washer are semi-broken. Fridge and microwave are working but definitely towards the end of life too.
I was planning on buying an appliance bundle to save money, since everything is like 20 years old. But I was told to wait until black Friday (USA) to buy a bundle of new appliances to save even more money.
Do you think it's worth it to wait? The stove on the oven still works and I have an air fryer so I'm able to cook. And I'm able to do dishes by hand. What do you think? Should I wait?
UPDATE: here are the best deals I've found, I'll be keeping this list updated over black friday:
Best Black Friday fridge deals:
$2,250 off Samsung refrigerators (Samsung.com)
$1,600 off a wide range of LG refrigerators (LG.com)
40% off Frigidaire refrigerators (Frigidaire.com)
43% of a wide range of fridges (Walmart.com)
so i'm looking to upgrade my fridge and it's a pretty big purchase so i'm trying to figure out if black friday and cyber monday are actually good times to buy appliances like this. i don't want to wait if the deals aren't going to be that great but i also don't want to miss out on potential savings if they are.
has anyone here actually bought a refrigerator during black friday or cyber monday and gotten a decent discount? i'm wondering how much of a price drop we're talking about and whether it makes sense to wait a few weeks or just go ahead now. i feel like appliances are a big enough investment that the savings could add up.
i'm also not sure what to look for in a fridge since there are so many models and brands out there. does anyone have recommendations on what brands hold up well or which features are actually worth paying for versus what's just extra stuff you don't need? would be helpful to know what people have had good experiences with.
and i'm curious if black friday or cyber monday has better deals for something like a refrigerator or if they're pretty similar. also wondering if there's a best time to actually pull the trigger on ordering one during those periods or if the deals stay consistent throughout. any advice from people who have gone through this would be appreciated. thanks.
